Evan Turner seems to have missed playing against the weaker back courts in the Eastern Conference. He had his best game as a Blazer, by far, today.

Last year, he averaged almost 2 more ppg against the East than the West and his +/- was +3.0 vs. the East, compared to -0.1 vs. the West.

Now, we just need to make it to the finals so we can see Turner really shine and earn that paycheck.

fuck. no.

he was 0-6 just the other day, 0-5 from 3 as part of that.

he's good for an ok game occassionally

I guess the score board is wrong. I thought it said Lillard was 0-5 jacking up 3's.

bulls game, meyers shot 6 times, 5 were 3's all were misses.

His career stats say that was more of a fluke, not the games where he shoots well.

You want to hate on him, fine. I've criticized him as well. But pick on something else.

Perhaps explains why he was apparently hesitant to shoot tonight?

When is he not hesitant to shoot? If he knew just how good of a shooter he was and was confident in himself he would be one of the most important players on our team.

Liked that performance and happy to finally catch a game without waking up in the middle of the night here. Those evening European time Sunday NBA games are just perfect, great way to finish off the weekend.

Turner is finally finding some form. I know he's pretty much hated here but I still reckon with a bit of luck he might turn out to be a decent signing. Of course it was just Nets and we should wait until he repeats that against someone half decent but it's still a promising sign.

isnt really any need to, he's 7-1 255, shooting .33 from 3 this year, avgs 3.3 rbs, .3 blks, usually looks totally lost on the court and in a time where we need a big man to step up, he's completely incapable.

annnnnnnnnnnnnd we just signed him to an extension.

he's a below avg 7-1 shooting-guard. put him #1 on the trade train with either crabbe or turner.

I get the sarcasm but one of ET's best games last year was @ GSW.

He also had some good games against CLE, where he guarded LeBron James.

I wasn't being entirely sarcastic. The Eastern Conference was much weaker than the West last year, particularly the guard play. The fact that Turner, as a whole, played better against the weaker Eastern Conference competition isn't just a coincidence. He's now moved up to a tougher conference while simultaneously learning a new system and trying to fit in with his new teammates.

I was just thinking that - coming out West after playing in the East is probably a big reason why he looks so...mediocre.
