It looked just as unnatural for him shooting them then though. His shot just looks robotic and mechanical to me, and he either gets lucky and puts it right in the middle of the hoop, or misses badly.

It's all about shooting in rhythm and not forcing or rushing shots. That last 3 was forced because he all of a sudden found himself with some space and felt like he had to throw it up even though he was about to fall over. When he has his feet under him and doesn't rush, he's money.
