I think the blazers gave the bulls too much respect. You could see how they hesitated on almost every shot, even when they were open. Not uncommon for a young team.
Agreed. We looked rattled and hurried a lot for no reason.

Plum dog just knows how to play and his motor never stops.

Lillard did a LOT of good tonight. Got to the line for THIRTEEN free throws and shot a good percentage. Grabbed a season high 10 rebounds. Had an above average assist night. Only 2 turnovers. Held Rose to 7/20 shooting. Out scored the other team's point guard.

he did but his outside shooting was just awful, great game from Plum and Vonleh showed life and we got a solid competitive loss and a great game to watch, not a bad night

Why do other teams good players return from injury when they play us

Not enough fight in the dog

The positive is the last 3 games our defense been really good. Holding teams under 40 percent shooting. Everyone has a bad shooting nights and tonight Dame had bad one but he did other really good to help the team. I glade to see Von had decent game. What Plum did to Bulter that was good to see it show me we got guy not going people crap plus 17 board great job Plum.

Atleast we kept it close. This season is one of those where your going to be pissed we lost but realize later that maybe that's what we want but we played hard atleast and competed.

You can't deny we're never an easy beat. So that's def encouraging

we're abso-fucking-lutely NOT missing Myers at all.

Can we just start Ed already as well? He's earned it.

DL
CJ
Aminu
Davis
Plum

myers can fit into the bench rotation at some point, but at this point I'm liking Vonleh - Harky - Henderson - Anyone, more than Myers - he has just looked like a mess, and throwing minutes at him just to watch him get pushed around, hang on the outside and hit an occasional 3 isnt doing anything for me at all.

totally glad he didnt re-sign at this point. he's gonna get massively outplayed the whole season.

Meyers does more than just shoot 3s. He open things up for mccollum and Lillard to attack. He's also underrated defensively. plays good man defense and generally rebounds well.

For example the bulls bigs would've had to come out and respected his shot instead of sitting back. Lillard and mcCollum would've gotten much easier shots.

There's not even a reason to be mad when we lose. A win is a win and a loss is a win.

19 pts, 10 reb, 8 ast, 1 blk looks pretty good. Pity about his 18% FG%.
Seriously.

Dame was ballin even though his shots weren't fallin.

Credit the Bulls defense for some of that. Having to carry the team and do it all for the rest.

I've said this before but one thing I really love about Dame is that when you are thinking to yourself that he is having on off or bad night you will often look up and notice that he has a double double of some sort or even a near triple double like tonight. So if that's a bad or horrible game then I will take that 100% of the time for his bad nights. He finds a way. You can't expect his shooting to be on every night but can expect him to still find a way to help the team to be competitive. Leaders lead even in losses

I don't agree. I think inefficiently he killed the team and his shot is way too streaky for a team to really rely on as a first option

Our new team so far compared to the old team:

Center - Plums and Davis are an improvement over heavy Lopez and softy Kaman.
PF - LMA was way better than Von,Biebs,Alexander.
SF - Aminu is a slight improvement over Batum and Harkless is a slight improvement over...well,nothing.
SG - CJ & Crabbe from the bench are an improvement over Matthews and nothing from the bench.
PG - I see a slight improvement in Lillard's game.

Maybe i'm crazy, but i think we might be 1 good power forward away from competing at the same level as the old team did.

Bro did you just post that Aminu is an improvement over Nic? Don't know ya, don't think I've ever read any of your post, but this might lead to you being the first person I've ever blocked on here. If this is the sign of your opinion of anything basketball related, I don't want to read it. Amazing you can watch him stumble around out there and dare say he's better than Batum. In fact, where are all the people after 5 games that were tossing props to Aminu for being such a great addition?

I love it when posters use the "streaky" or "inconsistent" argument with no supporting data.

Prove that he's actually more "streaky" than other players that you'd like to have instead.

Why don't you back up your claim that Batum is so much better than Aminu? Show us your amazing hoops knowledge and analysis!

I don't know who you are too.
I watched every game last season and Batum is better as a decision maker\passer yet his defense, shooting, rebounding and aggressiveness were inferior to Aminu's.
Batum is also more expansive and can't play PF.

Both of them are not legit starters for a serious team tho.
