OFFICIAL BLAZERS' GAME NOTES • Saturday marks the second of three matchups between the Trail Blazers and Lakers in 2015-16.
• Portland defeated LAL, 107-93 in the first meeting between these two teams on Nov. 22, marking the first time that the Trail Blazers have beaten the Lakers in five straight games since 1993-95 (eight games).
• With a win, the Trail Blazers will capture their second consecutive season series against the Lakers. The last time Portland took the series in back-to-back seasons against Los Angeles was 1993-94 to 1994-95.
• The Trail Blazers have defeated the Lakers by double-digits in each of the past four games.
• Damian Lillard scored a game-high 30 points and dished out a career-high 13 assists against the Lakers on Nov. 22. Lillard has now scored at least 30 points in four of his last six games against Los Angeles.
• Damian Lillard averaged 27.0 points per game against the Lakers last season, his highest total against any Western Conference opponent in 2014-15 (second in NBA).
• Portland won all four of its games against the Lakers last season, marking the team’s fi rst sweep over LAL in 20 seasons (1993-94).
• CJ McCollum has averaged 23.0 points on 62.1% shooting in his past two games against the Lakers. McCollum has nailed five of his nine three-point attempts in that pair of contests.
• The Lakers are 24th in the NBA in three-point shooting at 31.6%, while the Trail Blazers have limited their opponents to 32.8% shooting from beyond the arc (sixth lowest in NBA). LAL has failed to make 10 or more threes in each of its past seven contests.
• Ed Davis notched career-highs of 8.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 blocks in 79 games (24 starts) with the Lakers in 2014-15.
