Hezonja didn't shoot better.
RoCo didn't shoot better.
DJJ didn't shoot better.
Bazemore didn't shoot better.
Tolliver didn't shoot better.

All those guys were/are dissapointing in Portland.

Only RoCo (to date) had his lowest 3pt % in Portland.

On the flip side: Aminu, Hood, Melo, and Matthews have all had their best 3pt % in Portland.

Now we need see Little can string some games together. But Little had opportunities to score tonight. Now the big question will have if Nas start playing really well and when CJ comes back will he get the same opportunities to score.

Wes shot best in Portland
Nico shot best in Portland
Chief shot best in Portland
Layman shot best in Portland
Patty C I'm not sure
Alan Crabbe shot best in Portland
Harkless shot best in Portland......difference....these guys were here long enough to gel....the plug and trade guys aren't good examples....Tolliver was our backup center mostly...the new guys haven't even seen an Oregon winter yet...Nas had a career night tonight shooting

Will he get opportunities to play is the bigger question.

I hope he builds on this. I'm glad that Simons has continued to play well (tho his shooting hasn't been good the last 2 games).

I just hope the team actually starts playing defense.

These guys have such a low chance of being good on-ball defenders. We'll never be a good defensive team when the majority of your players are not good on-ball defenders and Stotts is highly unlikely to to change that either.

I liked how Little was able to create for himself too. he wasn't just doing the Stotts offense of sitting in the corner and shooting 3's.

It's not hard to play defense. The guys can play defense, they're just not made to nor is the system set up for them to play defense. Defense is 90% effort.

Very nice list.

Anyone who says every player who comes here has their best year would be wrong. To say that more wings come here and have their best shooting seasons of their career vs their worst, would be accurate though.

Is that because of coaching? Thats harder to say.

What makes you think playing defense isn't hard? I think you could make a case playing man to man defense is the hardest thing in the NBA to do.

Because he has been hurt/sick since the bubble? Before that Stotts was starting to play him and he was looking much improved.

Stotts gave him COVID and then refused to play him when he had it. Unacceptable!

Maybe hard wasn't the right word. Defense isn't difficult to play in the sense that it's significantly easier to just do nothing than it is to play passable defense.

They won't because Stotts is the coach.

As I've said, this coach has had a trove of talent. He just refuses to use it.

He was playing Anthony Tolliver in front of Nassir Little. Think about that for a second.
Tolliver and Little didn't play the same position...we used Tolliver as an undersized center/power forward...Hezonja played Nas position

But Dwight Jaynes doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

But Dwight Jaynes doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

Dwight prefaced his question incorrectly, Stotts didn't want to answer the main question, so he corrected his mistake, Dwight then got defensive and started to editorialize in an attempt to belittle Stotts. They both came off looking unprofessional in my opinion.

Dwight and Stotts getting into a nice pissing match in the post game conference. Both came across poorly.

Haha I love it Dwight is the only Portland media member whose not soft and calls out the team love him

Nas played some 4. Go back and look.

Tolliver took minutes from Little.

I am going to take two positives from tonight's game. #1 obviously was Little's scoring. He was really starting to come on before the season was shut down last year. Nice to see him getting some run. #2 Ant has 15 assists in 16 games this season and 5 were tonight. Ant actually passed the ball tonight.

I ended up missing most of the game because I was on a phone call...

We gave up 46 fucking points in the first quarter? God damn. 79 in the half and were down 36 after 3?

But we're fine.....

If the other team scores 70 by halftime...we're screwed....I've stuck with this ...I knew we were screwed going into the third....69 is the cutoff point......that's what she said
