Dame doesn't give up too many shots, definitely. Never met a shot he didn't like (and, to be fair, hasn't hit at some point or another).

Yes but what the stat irrefutably means in this very clear example is DSJ didn't screw up while he was out there. He didn't cost us a lead. He also made some big defensive plays the minute he entered the game. He fought.

Just raw numbers don't say the whole truth though. And i'm not saying he is selfish, but I believe he gets sucked in the moment and at times has tunnel vision. I don't think he is doing it because he cares more about his numbers than team wins, but he is often a ball stopper on offense. Not same level like Melo was, but he is one. I don't believe we ll ever have the ball movement we want if the ball passes through his hands and to me it's crazy we have Powell shooting the ball at 50% and he can never get the same amount of shots like the other two guards.


By the way Lillard has already matched CJ's TS% for the year. I never saw that coming with how bad Dame has shot the ball so far. That shows that CJ has been struggling a big amount as well.

See, that's all reasonable no matter if I agree or not. Its not hard to criticize him within the realm of reasonability.

As far as Powell goes, he can't create his shot as easily as CJ can. It's not as simple as designating a certain amount of shots for individual players.

A major part if it is finding a team that would:
A) want him
B) will give reasonable value (something like Osman & Markkanen from Cleveland)
C) have contracts that will match trade restrictions

I've gone through the league rosters 3 or 4 time looking for something that I think both teams would entertain.... I haven't found a good solution

He should definitely hire BonesJones from the RipCityTwo forum who also has a YouTube channel which means he knows EVERYTHING about NBA basketball. You even had the audacity to tell Dame how to fix his jump shot a few weeks back. I’m glad Dame was watching and listened to you. Looks like his jumper is back now.

I'm not the one saying CJ McCollum doesn't know basketball so cut the bullshit.

I also didn't tell Dame anything. Didn't tweet at him or tag him. I suggested something he could try differently with his jumpshot because he was missing short. But yes, me pointing out a common knowledge jumpshot adjustment as something Dame might try is the same as you telling C.J. he doesn't know basketball.

Read above. Didn't direct my tweet at Dame at all. If someone is missing jumpshots with their elbow jutting out, is saying "A possible adjustment might be to get his elbow in more" the same as saying CJ doesn't know basketball? No, it's not. It was moreso me predicting something Dame might try, and I wasnt even saying it should even be something he tries because there's negatives to it.

Wording is important. Don't just run with the narrative of a section of the fanbase that roots against me because they didn't like that I criticized their precious (former) coach. That's for people like OneSport to do when they get called out on saying things like "CJ doesn't know basketball" since they need to try to flip that back on someone else with a false equivolancy to justify it.

Total zeros from Roco and less than what they get from rotational players all around might have also had an effect (Yes that is the proper use of that word) on the outcome.

Powell, Nurk, Dame and Nas scored 98 points on 61 shots. Seems quite efficient from quite a number of the team. Not everyone is going to have a big game and you had plenty of players scoring very well. The problem is, CJ just HAD to jack up a team high, game high 20 shots thereby depriving TEAMMATES who were scoring very efficiently from getting shots that they were converting at a much higher rate.

Yeah. I started the post talking about CJ. He had a very bad game.
