I agree that as currently constructed, we are unlikely to play a team that isn't a superior matchup.

The statement I was responding to was someone saying we can't make a playoff run with the defensive scheme Stotts runs. My response was that we have, it's a fact.

Like the fact that no team with a bottom half defensive rating has won a championship, no roster without a 6'6' or taller all-star has won a championship. We are trying to be the first team that thinks they can overcome the schemes team use to limit elite players, without an elite player of size ourselves.

Point being, championship expectations with this roster are not realistic.

I would argue that the NBA has changed pretty drastically even in the two years since our WCF run. His defensive scheme doesn't work anymore and it gets worse every year.

Yeah, if you aren't good at standing in the corner and hitting threes in this offense there aren't many opportunities for you to score. That being said as much as I like Nas's potential on D, Jones is worlds ahead of him on that end of the floor... plus Jones is getting paid money that has earned him minutes or some stupid ass shit that Stotts would say.

You might be right, but if we're saying it's a new NBA in the last season and a half, then it would be tough to say how successful we would be, given we haven't had anything close to a full roster in that small window.

Would love to have the best 7'-0" in the league who can shoot, pass, rebound, and defend. Add that guy to this roster, I think things would be much different.

He has been remarkably healthy since dawning the Piss and Purple. I wonder when he will roll an ankle?

I think 100% yes. I think calling them below average might be a nice way of putting it. Dame is improving, I'll give him that.

Yes, it is possible. He will be the starting SF at some point.
I do enjoy watching Jones's high-flying dunks though.

I believe that. I was referring to overall trend line, but I can't say I've seen a big jump this year.
