So do you start Aminu or Pay at SF?
I start Aminu. You bring in Pat as a backup SG and as a SF in a small ball lineup. Pat at SF is not a long term answer. But it works in certain circumstances. But, having that extra shooter in the starting lineup is sooooooo nice right now. It just goes to show how much we need a SF who can shoot.

anything is better than No Harkless

Great comeback but overall it was not a good performance against a team missing their best player, albeit on a road trip and back to back which is always tough.

Got very lucky that Beal missed that shot late on, ended up completely open and he makes that shot 9 times out of 10 easily. Basketball gods were with Blazers.

How many have we lost in heartbreaking fashion this year? I'll take any W this year. The west is going to be crazy at the end of the season.

What should we do with E.T. ? Another amazing performance from him. 1-5, 3 points, 0 assists, 2 TO. 1 Rebound.

I hate playing teams like BKN, NYK etc, they are so unpredictable
they dont either overachieve or underachieve, they can win against anybody and lose to anybody

they dont suck, but theyre not good either

Sounds familiar.

Those are often the hardest games on the road. Missing your best player.....teams usually play harder for the first game or two. Those are tough to win let alone coming back from 15 in the 4th. I almost turned it off at 90-75.

They have decent home record and very bad road record reminds. So they compent at home. There coming from road trip and sometimes that first home game back teams have play like crap hopefully Monday will be that case.

We don’t have a choice. Well have to ride his contract out. Unless of course we want to add a first rounder, which we better fucking not.

Some of you guys in here you find excuses when we beat someone tonight they didn't have Wall. Now they did have Beal porter Morris gortat and other legit NBA players. They was up 17 points and we came back and won in the closing of the game. I applaud players that don't quit and the 1st unit didn't. Plus most part late they play good D. This was a good win for us who cares who they was missing. We was missing Aminu who knows maybe Porter wouldn't the game he had if Aminu was guarding him. So we might have won anyways. So give the players credit for this they earn it tonight.

Sometimes it’s more difficult when there’s a last minute change or you’re playing a team without their top player. It’s harder to scheme against those situations because there isn’t always time or a large enough sample to go off of. So a lot of times it just turns into pickup basketball.

7 straight points for CJ. Nice wide open '3', a fast break layin and the the tough jumper in rhythm after hitting a couple shots in a row.

This has actually been my biggest issue with CJ this year.
Last year I don't remember him being ice cold for 3 out of 4 quarters.
I remember him getting hot, and being streaky. Then coming back to earth but still hitting shots throughout the game.
This year CJ is ice cold for 3 out of 4 quarters. In one of the 4 quarters he hits a streak where he makes 4-5 jumpers in a row and it makes his shooting % respectable.

Idk. Id attach extra picks to his contract for a team looking to rebuild. If you said we could do something like Turner, Meyers and 2 Future 1sts for Gallinari, I'd say you have to do it.

Really because I'm pretty sure Pat affected one of the last shots of the game. He's sneaky good IMO.
Which one? Beal got open shot after open shot against him. We got extremely lucky that Beal missed shots he always makes.

I would too.

Lillard (36) / Napier (12)
McCollum (36) / Connaughton (12)
Aminu (16) / Turner (16) / Harkless (16)
Vonleh (16) / Davis (16) / Aminu (16)
Nurkic (32) / Vonleh (7) / Davis (7)

Man, some of you on here are straight wack-jobs. This thread just encapsulates (I googled that word, for real) this place. How can you just BLAST and throw shade so hard on players of your favorite team like this? Not just scrubs, but your GOD DAMN STARS!
The same exact guys who without them, you lose the GOD DAMN GAME! You’d think after all my years on here, I get used to this and it just blows me away. Who gives a fuck about CJs shot selection. If he gets it done, oh well. Who the fuck else you want shooting, Turner? The fuck outta here with all that.
You shouldn’t be allowed to be happy about a comeback like this when you treat the guys that way.

And I’M the one that gets blasted when I make a low win total prediction? At least I support our guys in good times and bad. Shitty games and good ones. Fuckin’ nutjobs, half of you. And you’re the ones who probably thought this squad would get home court advantage in the playoffs!

Anyway, congrats to our guys. Happy Birthday Coach Stotts! #RipCity

I think Aminu will struggle with his shooting at first after coming back after the injury. I would keep Pat as the starter until Aminu has a good game.

I tell you what, when I saw Pat out there in crunch time, I yelled out loud on headsets said I was surprised. That means coach really trusts him right now.
