"Fuck your confidence Jake Layman! your ass is out tonight! I'm gonna give your minutes to Harkless and Aminu so they can continue their shot bricking! "
"Fuck you Sauce! you're gonna sit on that bench and watch Aliexpress Steph Curry brick shots in the 4th!"

"JUST PASS IT TO DAME!"

He’s still a good player obviously but your friend is absolutely right.. 33.5% is not good at all and Dame has this ridiculous reputation has a great 3 point shooter when he’s not
I’m not sure I’ve seen a credible writer ever call Dame a “GREAT” 3 point shooter. Maybe I missed that. He is a great scorer though. And Dame is much more than a “good player”.

I love how we try and educate you and it's just in one ear, out the other.

You know what's ridiculous? Basing him off of his 33.5 3P% over 20 games and ignoring his CAREER 36.7%, as well as ignoring the factors I've stated that maybe him more effective than his percentage indicates. Nah, you just wanna hate without being logical, so you ignore it. You can't have a logical back and forth with logical posters, so instead of considering what they have to say, you cry "homer" and only consider words of ignorant negativity.

You'd think, after multiple bannings and years of this, at some point you'd stop hating and would want some credibility... but nah. You have the least credible posts on this board.

At least Kingspeed lifts spirits, is positive, and does it for fun. You're the anti-Kingspeed, with less credible posts.

Well I’m glad I’m overreacting and saying people call him a great shooter because he’s not from 3

A 36.7% career three point shooter should not be shooting as many and the kind of shots Dame shoots. I'd rather have CJ taking those attempts. Dame gets an incredibly green light from Stotts and everyone knows it. Hell, that said, Dame's shot has been trash this month even on open attempts so maybe he just needs to get into a gym and fix that shit.

You realize shooting 36.7% from 3 is the same as scoring 55% from 2? It's a solid, above average percentage.

Noob error. Ever since the ABA started the 3-point shot, beginners have said that you just multiply by 1.5.

You should add the free throws which come with the 2-pointers, and the disruption to the other team as they accumulate fouls.

I voted for Turner. The only ones who have done better than I expected are, in order of the amount of surprise

1. Turner
2. Nurkic
3. Leonard

I love how this is a point I try to explain to people all the goddamn time. Obviously the context was shooting efficiency per shot type, but you se to be unable to grasp what the conversation was about. Especially since one of my points as to why Dame was a better 3pt shooter than his percentage indicates was because hes one of the best in the league at drawing fouls off of 3pt shots. Nice try buddy.

I kind of think calling Lillard a “solid” 3 point shooter for his career is about right yes he’s been kind of bad this year, but things can change quickly. I think whats interesting is sometimes he does get into “chuck it” mode like he’s an elite 3 point shooter, which he isnt. He has elite steph like range, but his percentage from deep even for his career is no where near elite in this day and age of 3 point shooting.

Dame is a solid 3 point shooter thats what id call him. Yes he see’s the toughest defenses every day, but really all stars see that type of defense, heck even CJ see’s defenses aimed at trying to make him take tough shots.

Dame / Lillard time sometimes is called hero ball too. That 3 pointer he aired late in the game he was dead set that he was going to take that shot.

Thats said, Dame is awesome and far and away the Blazers best player, and being a “solid” 3 point shooter is good enough since he’s an awesome mid range shooter, can get to the basket and a 90+% ft shooter.

At least Stotts seems to have realized how bad they were:
"So when the Blazers met on Monday morning for a film session, it wasn’t the normal 10-to-20 minute rundown of offensive and defensive plays from the previous game. Instead, players estimate Stotts held a 45-minute session, which included showing the entire third quarter when the Clippers outscored the Blazers 38-16 to flip the script in what would end up a 104-100 loss."

OH NO! Not 45 minutes of film! The fact that the norm is to only watch 10-20 minutes is completely baffling to me. No wonder this team doesn't learn.

Welcome to short attention span theater!

I get why you don't want mid-season practices to be too physically draining, but if they can't mentally engage for more than 20 minutes - good grief.

It appears as if Rondo was right. I'm paraphrasing but during the playoffs last year he said something to the effect that he studies a lot of film and Portland doesn't which is why they are so unprepared. I believe he specifically mentioned Dame and CJ.
