A legit PF? Like who.
I know you hate it but I'm telling you CJ for Randle and Rivers. I think the Knicks do it. Randle can do the thing you always say my recommendations can't do, which is create his own offense. Rivers gives us the backup PG that can defend both guard positions that we need. This move also saves us money but leaves the Knicks with cap space for a max player.

You STILL haven’t answered me. Did we win in spite of Stotts? I honestly don’t know when he coached good or not. Not one person who critiques him every night in here said ONE word about how he did tonight. I’m honestly asking if he coached well tonight.

Remember the last game of the season a couple years ago when Stotts sat everyone so we would lose and go to the other side of the Playoff bracket? Then Simons/Skal came out and blew up and we actually ended up on the softer side and got to the WCF?

That game win was certainly in spite of Stotts and his plan. I would submit, this one was similar. The players just went out and played not worried that they would get yanked after some small mistake while Melo played no defense and jacked up a million shots. As such, the effort was better than perhaps any other game this season. The defense was incredibly scrappy. Stotts hasn't shown the ability to bring that for 8+ years...so I don't really credit him all of a sudden in one game.

Great job Blazers!

OK, I'll answer you. I can't remember him screwing up but I don't remember him doing anything great either. I'm happy when I don't even notice him. :)

I say the difference I saw tonight was they caught the defense off guard more times than they usually do when we walk the ball up court. To me there was a difference in pace and the defense did not get set and guys had options instead of trying to run a play and get someone open with the defense set and ready. Was that a choice tonight by Stotts? And if so why not try it more often.
Was the difference in pace a coaching move or just a result of different personnel?

I heard Terry state numerous times he wants to push the ball more. Dame is more comfortable walking it up looking for a three or p&r which is fine but not all the time.

When we played through Kanter last night it was productive.

I saw that in a previous game also. Seems to me he works best when he is more top of the key than outside the circle. He needs to be close enough to the basket to get there in a couple steps if he decides to. But he is a good screener further out also.

I post in every game thread. After wins and loses. I work during the games.

Hey @HCP, whazzup. Just woke up. How'd we do? Felt like a nap right before gametime, so I didn't post after a win. At age 98, it's a credible excuse every time.

You getting all those turkeys who don't post after wins? Get those fuckers.

If you are really 98, congratulations! It seems to show that a sense of humor is healthy.

I always subtract 10 years.

Anybody here didn't post after the win? (draws gun.)

Good!

I think the team was even pace when they could push they did it's always good not the other team not set there defense. Defense was good last night one reason it was effective the smallest guy was 6'4 that's Simons. Our starters the shortest guy was 6'5 so adding length helps contesting shots. Nothing against Dame and CJ even when they do play good defense they don't have length to defend people taller them. Plus last night our defense was very active plus the rotation was better. If I was Stotts I would sit down with the film session tell everyone this what want. Dame playing tomorrow let's see if the offense change one thing I will be looking for. Is everyone going to stand around for Dame to do his thing.

Randle is fine. He is probably an All Star snub this year. The mythical “Legit PFs” like Karl Malone, Buck Williams, and Charles Barkley don’t exist today so how could we trade CJ for one?
