TIMBERWOLVES' OFFICIAL GAME NOTES
BLAZERS' OFFICIAL GAME NOTES • Saturday marks the second of four matchups between the Trail Blazers and Timberwolves in 2015-16. It is also the second time that these teams have met in Minnesota this season.
• Portland defeated Minnesota, 106-101, at the Target Center on Nov. 2 behind a game-high 34 points from Damian Lillard (14-25 FG, 4-9 3-PT).
• The Trail Blazers also overcame a 17-point first quarter deficit in the first quarter of their win against Minnesota on Nov. 2 That come-from-behind victory represents Portland’s largest overcome deficit this season.
• Dating back to 2007-08, the Trail Blazers have gone 12-4 on the road against the Timberwolves (8-0 from 2007-08 to 2010-11).
• Portland and Minnesota split the season series (2-2) in 2014-15, with each team winning its two home contests. The Trail Blazers had previously won the season series in 2012-13 (4-0) and 2013-14 (3-1).
• Damian Lillard has scored 30 or more points in two of his past three games played against the Timberwolves. Lillard has reached the 20-point mark in nine of his 13 career games against Minnesota.
• The last time Minnesota won two games against Portland in the regular season (2011-12), the Trail Blazers swept the four-game season series the following year (2012-13).
• A win over Minnesota would eliminate the possibility of the Timberwolves winning the season series over Portland in 2015-16. The Timberwolves haven’t won a season-series over the Trail Blazers in a full four-game slate since 2004-05 (4-0).
• Minnesota is 2-7 at home this season, including an 0-3 mark against the Western Conference.
• The Timberwolves are 21st in the NBA in three-point shooting at 32.4%, while the Trail Blazers have limited their opponents to 33.2% shooting from beyond the arc (9th in NBA).
• HEAD-TO-HEAD HISTORY:
ALL TIME: Trail Blazers lead, 74-29
IN PORTLAND: Trail Blazers lead, 41-11
AT THE TIMBERWOLVES: Trail Blazers lead, 33-18
