This is the worst Rangers team since before the Hank days. That's how bad they fucking suck. I can't believe how much of a moron Sullivan is continuing to play scrubs over our top prospects.

Like I said, the biggest favor they can do for the fans is send out another letter, try to trade everything they possibly can, tank the season, and get the best draft pick possible in a deep talented draft. The only downside is I have ZERO faith in Drury to have any plan and execute it well.

Realistically they could end up with a top 5 pick, if not better. Currently based on points % they are tied for the 3rd worst team in the NHL.

This team is a complete and utter embarrassment, and Drury should be ashamed of himself for putting this roster together. This roster alone should get him fired, let alone all the other terrible moves Drury has made. The 3rd line last night was Sheary, Laba, and Raddysh. Are you f'ing kidding me.

Agree. Tanking in a lot of other sports doesn’t work but in hockey it does especially if your dumbass general manager drafts a fucking center with his high draft picks. Almost all teams winning a cup draft a center in the top of the draft and a stud defenseman. That’s how they build it. Drury has become incredibly stupid since Sullivan was here controlling the roster choices.

Another thing I am noticing in the admittedly limited time watching them...they play absolutely no differently than they did last year. They can only play the perimeter in the offensive zone...they struggle to maintain possession in the offensive zone...they cannot clear the defensive zone...every game the other team seems to be able to keep them hemmed in in the defensive zone and force turnovers. There has been no change in the coaching philosophy that I can see. Just another bad puck-possession team who struggle to connect on passes and struggle to generate scoring chances.

They are old. They have 4 to 5 role playing schmucks with little to no talent playing over our young forward prospects. They aren't physical. They are way below average offensively. They are slow with almost no speed. I'm not entire sold on Berard but in what fucking universe is he not a lot better than Shearshit? In what universe is Othmann not better than Raddysh? Othmann can be a bit lazy off the puck. Solution is very simple. See Keenan and Kovalev. You play the shit out of him when he does what he is supposed do. You bench the shit out of him when he fucks up. It's not rocket science. The fucking stupidity of the dumbasses running this organization is mind boggling.

Right, which tells me it's not the coaches it's the players, who are put together by one man.

Gallant - made it to an SCF as a head coach.
Lavy - won a SC and made it to two other SCF's as a head coach.
Sullivan - won 2 SC's as a head coach.

These coaches are all WAY WAY more accomplished in their roles than Drury is in his roles. Any charade or notion this is on the coaches is a flat-out farce to me, or a lame attempt to take the easy road and always blame the coach.

This isn't about who is up and who is down in the AHL (and BTW - who's to say the coach has the end all be all say on those decisions anyway), or style of play, or offensive/defensive strategy, it's about a guy who has zero plan and has made so many terrible decisions in his roles it's a running joke now that he still has a job, and seems to have it for life.

This is why the path to me leads directly to Dolan's door. He is too lazy, blind, and/or stupid OR doesn't care enough to realize Drury has got to go. Just an avalanche of terrible, panic, no plan decisions season after season have destroyed this team and made them the embarrassment they are today. This roster has gotten worse and worse and worse, to the point now where it's a terrible roster, with zero depth upfront.

Enough is enough, but sadly it won't be as Drury is going nowhere, as shown by the inexplicable contract extension he was given this past summer. As long as this guy is here making no plan/panic decisions, this team will never win a Cup.

They are in a very bad spot right now. Maybe even think about moving #31 in a few years if it can bring back a big haul. Garand may be a solid NHL starter.

And BTW, as for the kids, I am 10000000000000000000000000000% all for having them up here playing over whatever guys like Sheary, Raddysh, and Brod. Let's not confuse things, I would have Berard, Othmann, and Perreault all up here NOW.

With that said, having them up here playing over whatever guys like Sheary, Raddysh, and Brod doesn't change the fact that to me outside of Perreault, who MAYBE could be a top 6 forward, the rest of the Rangers kids project to be bottom 6 nongame changing or impacting players. That's the sad reality of where this organization is.

So yes 1000000000000000% call up the kids and let them play over whatever old scrubs, but sadly it isn't going to change the path and reality of the situation for this sorry team and organization. They are in a terrible spot right now, and no kid they have is changing that. It's a pile of crap currently.

Look at the terrible use of assets. Why is Schneider not moved if he's going to play on the 3rd pair, why is Soucy here to be a whatever 3rd pair dman making $3.25M (double so when we have zero forward depth), why is Garand still sitting in the AHL if you have Igor signed for YEARS and Quick as the backup still.

Garand and Schneider both should be dealt for decent returns, Soucy never should have been here to start with, but once they signed Gavrikov, his $3.25M should have been moved to add some forward depth.

These are all examples of what a GM who understands roster/cap management and has a plan does, hence why it doesn't happen for the Rangers.

Only a moron would deal Schneider. Put him with a real fucking partner for once and give him top 4 minutes. Fortescue and Schneider should be a pair for years to come. As far as this year, Borgen should be Schneider's full time partner and let Schneider play his off side. Schneider is not the problem. The problem is dumbass roster choices and a GM that has went from average to shit since he hired this coach.

I COMPLETELY AGREE, don't deal Schneider if he's playing a top 4 role. That's the point I was making. To keep Schneider in a 3rd pair role is RIDICULOUS, and awful roster/cap management.

You either put him in the top 4, which I said MANY times this past summer, or trade him. Having him languish on the 3rd pair with scrubs is a TOTAL waste and misuse of assets.

Schneider is arbitration eligible this summer, what do you do? If he is blocked from a top 4 role by Fox and Borgen, you cannot pay him to languish on the 3rd pair. So, either you commit to making him a top 4 dman, or you must trade him. That's what a smart GM would do, so again Drury most likely won't. It's also why if you do not plan to give him a top 4 role, I'd trade him now for high value, why wait until the summer.

Where we disagree is Drury has been making panic; no plan moves for years, not just since he hired Sullivan. The roster has gotten worse and worse. He's been shit in his roles pretty much since early on.

Getting rid of Trouba and Kreider and not paying any of their salaries were great moves. The K Miller trade was pure genius. JT Miller IMO has been playing hurt all season. Yet, it still wasn't a bad deal because poor Chytil just can't stop getting concussions. JT still could be a good part of a rebuild. You need some vets on the team. Problem was that other teams offered up a fucking absurd amount of money to players he was hoping to sign as FA's. I have no idea what the hell McDavid and Kaprizov were thinking. Drury was banking on landing a big FA next year and his plan failed as other teams were throwing money around like drunken sailors to retain their players. This year Drury became really dumb. He's not controlling this coach's roster decisions. He wasn't a great GM before but he wasn't at this level of stupid. He was starting to put a rebuild into motion by dumping Trouba and Kreider. Even though Kshithead was young, he's a bumbling idiot on defense. Then he hires Sullivan who wants to play all old and useless fucks. That's where Drury took a bad turn for the worse. I was happy with Sullivan getting hired but I never thought he would be this fucking stupid not giving kids a chance.

I'm not saying he's made zero good moves, even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then, but overall, he's been crap is his roles, and he has made many more poor/panic/no plan moves than good moves. What he didn't do at the trade DL two years ago was egregious, Buch, Soucy, Smith, recycling coaches, the list of his terrible decisions is long.

At the end of the day, we can debate when Drury went bad/wrong (I think he was in over his head from day one), but it doesn't really matter, I guess. It is clear now he sucks, whether one thinks it's been for years or more recent, is irrelevant, today he is terrible, we agree, and the guy has got to go.

That’s why I wanted Muse as a head coach. I did not like Sullivan hire. I did some research on him and Pittsburgh fans were saying he prefers playing vets over development of young players.
