I feel like if Layman got an opportunity on a bad team he could legitimately breakout. Like Vonleh has this year but even more so. We really have to figure out where Jake's ceiling is with this team.

I'd just like to see them include him in the offense. He was hitting shots as an after thought.....what would happen if he purposely got 8-12 shots a game instead of 2-4?

Still trash. Devin Booker is a lot like CJ, but he's on a bad team so he puts up bigger numbers. Then you have Ayton who doesn't defend the rim well and who might not be any better than Vucevic is now. Adding Zion to that.. I dunno. They'd probably want R.J. Barrett instead.

He's rusty..year and a half away from the game...watching his pick up games this summer he seemed pretty gassed..I think he's going to take as long to really gel and get in game shape and Stauskas stole his thunder early on.

Tried to hit an (off-footed? couldn't tell) hang back layup. It's where you jump and rotate your inside shoulder backwards and extend you arm the opposite direction your driving. Really hard to block when done right. Problem is, he was too deep and that was really the only type of layup he could try and Ayton read it. I like the aggressiveness though.

If this was any other team, this game just might be another loss. Portland doesn’t look any better than they did the other night. Imagine if laymen didn’t have the hot start. Then it would be dame just being dame and the rest of the team being shit which is the current trend
