Are we a better overall team without CJ?

I know I hadn't been asleep since 9PM yesterday and I was on this comfy ottoman. I was dozing off for a couple minutes at a time throughout the game then I literally fell asleep and starting dreaming up the game instead of watching it so I didn't know haha.

This kind of think happened to me all the time in middle school/high school. I used to wake up, stop my alarm then fall back half-asleep while dreaming up that I was waking up, going to school etc. Then at some point... oh wait, shitshitshitshitshit !!

Covington > The Washington wings
That's an interesting discussion. If money wasn't involved it would be close between Porter and Covington. Porter is the better shooter, has a major length advantage, and can probably create a little better. Covington is a better defender and if we're talking about fit on the Blazers would probably make this team better than Porter. I don't know how much playing on Washington is limiting Porter's ability.

If you factor in contracts Covington wins in a landslide.

Without looking up stats in my previous post, that is pretty much what I thought.

This year Covington is better, career I'd take Porter.

Yeah if money wasn’t a factor, id take Porter over Covington and Oubre. But since it is, I’ll take Covington over either.

I love how we play last night minus the turnovers. We play fast all night long and we push the ball off rebounds. I love the ball movement and the players movement. Yes they had a bunch turnovers but there probably not use to playing that fast because they usually don't. There front line defense was really good last night in Harkless Nurk Aminu. In the 2nd unit Zach was really good at that end.

Turnovers were definitely an issue, but solid defense and a couple daggers by CJ and Lillard did the TWolves in last night. Solid win against a good team and a good followup after the Suns big victory. Now it's time to build off this as Denver appears to be in trouble with Milsap and Harris due to be out for awhile with injuries.

Just finished watching the game. Nurkic was a fucking monster, I was a bit worried about his defense at the start of the season, but yesterday he was the THE BEAST , Lillard like allways very good, CJ also Clutch in the 4th. Layman back to garbage layman, you can see why Stotts does not trust him, he's too streaky. Curry out of the rotation?

I’m guessing layman will get another game or two before stotts goes back to curry. If curry continues to struggle maybe one of the rookies gets a shot.

In the last 2 minutes, things went right. We got every rebound. Our guards didn't take crazy, off-balance long shots. Instead, they drove to the basket and made them. Lillard did take and make one outside shot, but he didn't go overboard. In the last couple minutes of a close game, I always enter apprehensive about the many errors to come, but this time I was relieved that we played solidly and conventionally. It was a pleasure to watch.

A couple of times Calabro was impressed with a stupendous Nurkic block. But upon slow-motion replay, I saw that Aminu's harrassment of the driver, while running alongside him, had made the block easy for Nurkic. Calabro gave no credit to Aminu even after the replay.

I dont think bones has ever been that high on Covington (AFAIK anyways), so while he might be wrong about him overall. I dont think he’s just taking that stand to be a homer.
I'm just reading through this haha.

Correct. Average offensive player, very good defender, talked about like hes some borderline star... Hes a slightly better Aminu, IMO.

Calabro is the play-by-play guy... its Hurd's job to point out that type of stuff.

I think the trail Blazers have other problems than Calabro.

Finally got to watch the game last night. Not sure if this was mentioned in the thread but....

OMFG EVAN TURNER SUUUUUUUUUCCCKKKKKKKSSSSSSSSS ASS.

Good win Blazers.

That is all.

It's Calabro's third season with the team. How does he still confuse Dame/CJ?

I admit it, I am Calabro. I've been saying for years that Dame and CJ are mirror images of each other, just shoe horned into different roles. Sometimes, I confuse even myself.
