Damn, according to the Blazer broadcast The Lakers were 57-0 in closing out games with both AD and Lebron in which they had the lead heading into the 4th quarter. Impressive, Impressive come from behind road win.

How bout my man Gary Trent Jr?! Making shots all game long, including of the dribble... I was hard on him in an earlier game saying he added the aspect to his game of *missing* of the dribble, but tonight he nailed them!
When he's playing like this he's the perfect 3rd guard to compliment Dame and CJ, solidifies our backcourt rotation!

We'll just see what happens. When you put it that way it feels like a nightmare. Maybe Olshey talks Jones into doing what Hoodie did... opt in with the guarantee that we'll sign him for 175% of what he's making after next season. I don't know what Gary will cost but I'm sure Neil will work something out.

The amount of in-game melt downs by people in this thread during a game where we beat the best team in the league on the road is amazing.

It has to be hard to live and die with every 3-4 minute stretch in a 72 game season.

This game just reeks of what this team can do if on any given night everyone on the team all way up to Dame fills the role of what is needed. It's this kind of game that make the stupid loses frustrating when they play outside of what is needed that night.
If they can figure that out and accept it then sky is the limit for this team.

I’m enjoying a great win by the team, especially GTJ’s contribution. Yah the same GTJ that your coach decided was not good enough to play meaningful minutes in the last two god awful games.

Godawful? We won the 2nd game despite All World performances by Harden and Wood.

I love what Jones brings. And most definitely think he should start against LBJ. But I still like having the extra 3 pt shooter to start the game. We are starting off slow to begin games. Start Trent at the 3 as we did in the bubble.

We started Melo at the 3 in the bubble. GTJ played best off bench.

There better not have been any criticism for CJ tonight. he's been terrific the past two games. Very clear and concerted effort from him to get his teammates involved and get to the line more.

Loved his passing. Always thought he could do it...just didn't seem very willing. Didn't shoot well tonight (7-21) but found other ways to contribute. That has not often been the case in the past.

definite change in CJ this yr so far. getting to the line more, passing more, and shooting more threes. something seems to have clicked.

The 2nd unit actually took leads with CJ running the show tonight as well. It ran pretty smoothly.

Whatever he still started 9 games last year and played 35-40 minutes a game in the last 12 games of the season. Terry trusts him.

Kanter has been so good. If he loses minutes to Zach or god forbid Carmelo impacts his time, that is gonna hurt. The depth is great. But it feels like they almost have too much.

There will be matchups where Collins/Giles are a better option than Kanter. The "Can't play Kanter" slogan has proven to be a real thing at his other landing spots for a reason.

Agreed. They were big as hell defensively, and got huge playoff contributions. I can see why on paper Schroder and Harrell seem like upgrades but its very possible the team won't perform as well. Might not matter when they have LeBron and AD, but this assumption the other players will for certain be better is flawed.

The Lakers will be just fine come playoff time. Probably shouldnt overract to a regular season game.

Fans of every team can act delusional. The worst non call I saw tonight was the no call when hood air balled that runner when his arm got obviously hit.

Enes pretty much offers the exact same skill set as Montrezl Harrell, but with better screens. And yes, they have the same defensive shortcomings. Both have a place in lineups though.

The guy also can't seem to get his arms up when defending in the paint. It's the weirdest thing, a guy is driving and his arms are down, then the ball goes up and so do his arms. Oh well, can't have it all I guess.
