Game Thread Game #3:TRAIL BLAZERS @ LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS OCTOBER 25, 2021 - MONDAY, 7:30 PM, ROOT SPORTS, NBATV

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

Only game I haven’t seen so far is the last one. Maybe I’m the problem.

I'm saying no counter argument because I said THE ONLY facts.

You're welcome. Today you learned! Yay!!

Nice try, though.

I saw your opinion, that's it.

I know this isn't working out as you predicted and I understand this is frustrating. I'm frustrated as well.

I'm right. Not frustrated.

Also, it's not opinion. It's facts.

It's okay, we're in this struggle together.

Maybe the new 3point fouling rules have badly effect Dame? Maybe defenders are not as afraid to guard him because they are not as worried to foul him and its shutting him down?

Cj has actually done a pretty good job on George. I was surprised they didn’t have Nance on him.

he played him 40+ min in the Sacramento game and got blowback for it. Now you are blaming him for playing him too little in the preseason? This is on Dame.. hes in a funk right now. It honestly seems like even during the Olympics
What does playing him 40 min against the Kings have to do with him being rusty? He looks in preseason form right now IMO.

I just think he hasn’t found his groove yet. I’m not too worried about it.

Turnovers and rebounding and plain shooting bad. Must clean it up in the 2nd half to make this a game.

Am I the only one that has noticed that CJ has been our best perimeter defender through three games? I mean, 3 games is tiny, but if he can sustain this level of defense I'm think I could be coerced off the CJ for Simmons boat. Just need Dame to regain his MVP level of play.

Running the offense through Nurk for the upside of the 1 in 5 games where he is engaged didn't seem worth reducing the impact Dame has on the offense. I much prefer Dame's ability to get people open.

Nurk tries too hard to make the fancy play instead of just the smart/sound play.

I think it's a factor of that, Chauncey asking him to play off the ball more which he's not used to, and focusing more of his energy on the defensive side.

Holy hell this page still exists? I created this like 16 years ago . Went down the rabbit hole and found it.

I honestly think Nurk is bipolar or deals with depression or something. His performances are so uneven. He's a monster one game and a mouse for two others. His inconsistent effort and energy is going to keep this team from going anywhere meaningful.

We need to institute the RoCo Rule: Robert Covington NEVER touches the ball on offense.

And Dame, Dame, Dame ... you need to find your shot. Everyone complains about CJ, but Dame's taking some questionable shots and not making them.

lol at the idea that CJ is being accountable and restrained

playing Dame off the ball is freezing him out of the offense. Blazers don't have the passers to get the ball back to him

CJ will NEVER be accountable or restrained. And as for needing another passer to get Dame the ball back, don't get me started.
There is one player on the entire Blazer team shooting over 50% tonight and he can only get 4 shots so far. In fact, he is the only front court starter to get a FG. But because of the pecking order, he won't get shots when he is open or has good looks. It has to go to the Chuck Bros....of which we have two. One is plenty....and CJ getting more looks is taking Dame out of his rhythm.

Games like this are EXACTLY why the Blazers need to move CJ for Simmons.

Past my bedtime. Not going to hang around to watch part two of this debacle. If they have a great second half, I'll read about it in the morning.

Disappointed with the team thus far.

Perhaps last game was a glimpse of what can be (and hopefully will be) but seems to be missing tonight.

I'm confident the rest of the league loves the idea of Dame not having the ball in his hands.

I blame Chauncey for some of Dame’s struggles right now. Hardly playing him in the preseason is definitely hurting him right now. His rhythm is completely off.

I was skeptical of 'playing Dame off the ball' before the season started, and 10 quarters in I still am. Maybe it will work itself out but I do not believe that Portland has the facilitators to get Dame the ball back in good spot-up and back cut positions; and I'm thinking it's throwing Dame's timing and rhythm off

Dame will find his shot. Why are people worried about the dude when he's proven time and time again to get out of slumps.
