He had four or five and ones that weren't called. He got to the line 15 times because he is aggressive and 15 should have been 19.
Agreed. Still, like I told Speed, I hate to be the guy who blames low-quality officiating for a loss . . . Dame even said,"We didn't execute well enough at either end to win." Still, I believe that the refs decide the outcome of all close games . . .

SAME OLD BLAZERS!

I'm so pissed off right now.

Morris left open for a million 3s, JUST like he was 3 years ago whenever we played against Phoenix! ZERO timeouts left for the most important play, CJ with the worst game of his career and it was CLEAR he was having it on the 3rd quarter yet he still had green light to shoot.

It's not that i'm unreasonable, i just hate seeing the same shit every year.

How do you get burned by the same play like 6 straight times without doing anything about it? Dame did an absolutely horrific job fighting around picks but even if he did, that's not the best solution. Switch him onto Porter/Oubre and put Harkless on Wall and Zach on Morris and let em switch. Man, that is just awful coaching.

And CJ. Wow.

Same shit happened when Morris was on the Suns, wish i still had those games on my hard drive. Stotts was completely baffled by Morris 3 years ago and it seems like he's still looking for a solution.

I can't believe we lost that fucking game. How to you get killed over and over by the same god damn play and not do anything about it ? On the bright side some homeless men in portland now have a shelter thanks to CJ big donation of bricks

Tough loss. It would have been an ENORMOUS lift to have won that game with Dame and CJ shooting so poorly for most of the night and they were one stop (or foul) away from getting it done. The back breaker was Beal’s triple that sent it to OT. It’s hard to point the finger at Dame with everything he does for this team but he completely botched that defensive possession. According to Stotts the plan was to try and foul (Beal) on the catch . . . so why was Dame standing 10’ behind Aminu? What was he doing? By the time Beal threw it back to Wall, Dame was already out of position. He had to sprint at Wall and he zoomed right by on the fake. That’s not even the worst part though. Making matters worse he gave up on the play for a second after flying past Wall. This forced Aminu to run out at Wall leaving Beal WIDE OPEN! You can question Aminu’s decision to leave Beal (not smart) as you'd rather have Wall shooting a wide open 3 than Beal but it never should have come down to that. The point is NOBODY should be that open in that spot with a 3 point lead! Total breakdown. You can live with poor shooting nights by your best players. It happens. But the lack of defensive execution with the game on the line is unsettling. That’s what you normally see from bad teams. If Dame is in good position on the catch, they can foul Beal before he turns to shoot. Or if he stays at home on Wall, you probably end up with Beal having to shoot a contested 3 over Chief. But even given that he was out of position on the play, it still might have turned out differently if he stayed with it after he flew by Wall on the pump fake. Because if Dame jumps right back on Wall then Aminu doesn’t have to come help. It’s incomprehensible that either Wall or Beal BOTH had looks that good. I hope they remember this game all year as an example of what can happen if you 1) are out of position defensively on the final possession, and 2) give up on the play after you make a mistake. If you play sound defense and they make a contested shot, you tip your cap. You just can’t have those type of mental errors by veteran players in crunch time if you expect to be a playoff team. Dame is a great player, and he hit some clutch shots plus a nice pass to Sauce for what should have been the game winner. Better to have a loss like this in October than in March/April IF you learn from it. It’ll be interesting to see how they respond to this on the road trip.

I knew why i shouldn't be excited about this Team after the two wins. Because CJ = still the same Player like before, Overpaid inefficient Iso choker with awful Defense. He will have some good Games this Season for sure, but you not gonna win anything with him as your 2nd best Player... Nurkic = can't defend to save his Life, we knew he is a Bad perimeter defender, but now it looks like he can't even defend the paint anymore, takes still awkward flip shots instead of dunking the Ball strong but at least he makes most of his shots this Year. Lillard = also stil streaky with his shot, i doubt he will ever have a Season where he shots 40 or better % from 3 or better than 45% FG%. At least we have good Ball movement in the 2nd Unit, the starting 5 hasn't change anything compared to last year. Stotts has no idea what to do sometimes. I will stil watch the Blazers and Support them, but i know this Team is a 1st Round Exit Team at best

The refs didn't leave Morris open 7 times in the same spot.
Well, there was a clear foul on Dame shooting a 3 towards the end of regulation. It's a big difference going up 4 instead of 3 in that situation.

Morris, from the bench, is literally on the floor pulling Curry's shorts. I get missing the shorts thing but at the very least there should've been a technical for having 6 men on the court. There is absolutely no excuse for allowing their bench to effect the game by being that close to the court let alone allowing Morris to be on the court touching a player. It is an absolute disgrace to sportsmanship and Morris should've been thrown out.

If I'm the Blazers I'm protesting this one and asking the NBA to come down hard on Morris. They should replay the end starting with 6.6 seconds left (I know they won't do that).

Beal also took 4 steps before kicking out to Morris for a 3 in OT.

Dame had his whole arm held down on that long 2 near the end of OT, once again it would've changed the situation to being down 1 instead of 2. When they hit both free throws it would still be a one possession game, big difference.

People can say it’s just one game, but this is a pattern for this team as constructed... again losing to a team they have no business losing to at home, in a game they controlled most of the way... but the worst part is not the loss but the continued ISO ball played by CJ, and to a lesser extent Evan Turner, who should be trying to set up some a rhythm for the 2nd unit instead of dribbling for 15 seconds then posting up and taking a turnaround jumper... Dame should not be blamed for anything, he has proven himself... but if we want this team to go to the next level, CJ needs to pass the damn ball and always look for the best shot, not just his shot, or else he needs to be traded.

What is it with Morris/WAS getting away with this shit?

Same score coincidentally.

I'm not going to dwell on it. It is what it is, a game we should have won. I hope it doesn't bite us in the ass at the end of the season.

Blazers need to continue to work on the fluidity of their offense. They would move a little bit, then stagnate and make the opponents job easy on defense. The guy with the ball gets isolated, 1 other guy moves, while the other three stand still. Easy pickings for Washington. Gotta keep it moving to get open shots. That's how the Wizards won, they didn't stagnate on offense.

No we lost when Lillard brought it all the way to the basket against 3 defenders instead of stopping and popping
Disagree... They should never have been in that position. Letting Morris take three after three was outrageous.
