we have one guy above 6'8 and he's one of the historically worst defending big men ever.

it took this many games for this league to realize you get gold by attacking him.

Maybe trap when you have a small lineup in and are down?

Maybe adjust and try a hedge or trap with Kanter when dropping him is getting absolutely destroyed?

Stotts isnt coaching this game. Dude took the night off.

I know you like midgets trapping and Kanter defending at 30ft. I'll never get you to feel differently and vice versa.
 
this team is addicted to that damn three point shot. im fine taking a lot of em, but not when it comes without movement or drives first
 
Isn't this the time we should be playing Melo for his fucking legacy. Go in there during fucking garbage time and climb your way up the all time scoring list.

It depends which Blazers.

Are we getting the one that plays intelligently or the one we saw tonight? If we weren't committing so many careless turnovers and settling for an inordinate amount of questionable shots -- even by Stotts standards -- we might have been leading at halftime. The Suns don't get running downhill before the half, who knows how this game turns out.

We let this snowball into an avalanche because we get complacent. We stay in a position too many times when Dame can bail us out at the end. We don't need to play that way and if we want to do anything but tread water we can't play that way.
 
Little getting to the line on consecutive possessions.
 
Question for all the good coaches out there. How do you adjust when a player pick up Dame full court?
 
I like that Stotts called timeout. It shows he’s still trying to teach the youngsters in a blowout game

When teams go small, they trap us with "midgets" and slow bigs, but we struggle with it, yet you give Stotts a pass for that. But apparently we can't do the same, so Stotts gets a pass for not doing it.

No consistency with you.
 
We started terrible and we are ending terrible. But history for us playing in phoenix we don't do well usually.
 
You can’t really expect this team to win much with the injuries, but there are things you can do to improve the chances of winning. Putting Dame on Booker to start the game to let Booker get going early is not one of them. Booker is one of those players that are impossible to slow down when he gets it going.

Also, if you continually insist on playing Melo like prime Melo, you are not improving your chances.

Easiest thing is a pressure release guy steps up to receive the inbound pass and Dame either V-cuts and gets hit with the reverse pass or curls around and gets the ball, or someone just steps up and screens for him to take the defender out of the play.

I don't think anyone's insisting on that. We're just kind of at the mercy of Melo right now because of the injuries. You have to hope you're getting a Melo who understands he's not Prime Melo and plays in a framework of letting four other guys see the ball knowing it will get him fewer shots but better shots.
