I had to watch this game late. Nurk played pretty well. That is until he became a complete non factor in the fourth quarter because he had 5 fouls again. Of course i counted 4 times he could have just dunked a ball instead of opting for a frilly soft finger roll. Has there ever been a softer "Beast" this league has ever seen? If i was Bosnian i would be absolutely ashamed of him representing my country.

Little hurt yet again? Remember we went through this last year as well? Maybe last year it wasn't the coach who refused to get this guy in after all? Maybe his development really has been stunted because of nagging injuries?

Tony Snell???????????? Really???????? How many times can this dude play 20 minutes and get ZERO points, ZERO 3's, ZERO Free Throws, ZERO Offensive rebounds, ZERO assists, Lets be nice. He got a steal and a block. He also got 1 TO and 1 PF.
Is there a player ever in the history of a game that has started 4 games and has played a collective 281 minutes that has had as bad of numbers as TONY SNELL? Seriously? He's a 6-6 Shooting Guard/ Small Forward that cannot play in this league! What in Gods Name is Chaucey Billups thinking? Stotts got run out of town for playing Melo and Kanter because everyone else was injured? Billups actually put this man back on the court to start the 3rd Quarter? You cannot be fucking serious?

I'm all for Chauncey Billups getting enough time to become an NBA coach and learn the ropes but he is not there at all. He is not even close to an NBA caliber coach at this time. As has been said on here by a number of posters. You guys got what you all wanted. This season is gonna be tough and it doesn't look to be getting any better. Billups has hardly learned anything. His rotations and game time decisions are as bad as any could ask for. Who in their right mind would go back to Tony Snell at this point? How does he not see the need for a timeout? When exactly is he going to lay into a Ref? Is he scared? Billups himself at this point is looking meek and soft as Charmin. The team has no identity and they are playing rudderless it seems.

32 games? How about we just give Chauncey 82 games and call it a lottery season. If he can't get it figured out in two seasons (164 games) we can start another coaching search. By the way. Lets get rid of the pillow soft center the Blazers have and break up the permanent "Small Ball" lineup they have and give him a chance.

Nas was out for a non-covid illness and I think this is not the first time for the same reason.

The fact no trades have been done yet is discouraging.
We might be giving up on the season

i just can't get over how bad we looked. like most of the team was already on vacation and completely checked out. we are so far from being competitive against a good team--- Pels had two players who could score and we let them both go off. Like WTF went into the prep for this game?!

I really want chauncey to succeed but this kinda night does not forecast a good outlook for his future.

Also.

Simons: 1-9 FG, 2 pts, 2 rebs, 1 ast, 1 stl, 1 to, -9 -- 31 minutes

WTF is that. Simons is well past his days when he can be a complete 0 but he's done it so often this year. And he's getting slaughtered on defense every night.

Yet he's being forcefed minutes because of injuries. I'm fully on board trading him too. Nas at least contributes on defense and brings energy. If Ant's shot is off, he's completely useless. Enough with the kid gloves. Just rip the bandaid off and trade him.

Snell.... just ugh
Snell: 0-1 FG, 0 pts, 3 rebs, 1 stl, 1 blk, 1 to, -2 -- 18 minutes

Who cares he’s trade bait anyways

I wonder what the fans who don't want a total rebuild want out of this season at this point?

When is he not out for weird excuses. Dude is always on the injured list for one reason or another
yeah, if he can't stay healthy he should not be in our future, as much as I like his play and development. So annoying to see a player out every other game for some reason as a young player.

also funny. quick hasn't tweeted or written an article in a week (since dame effectively called him out)

The fact that Joe hasn't made a trade in the two weeks he's been GM, while the most likely person to be traded can't be because he can't pass a physical? Let's all chill just a little, obviously when we're dropping games to teams like NOLA we want immediate action but I'm still really hopeful for big moves between the new year and trade deadline that will not only reshape the way this team is playing for the rest of this season but reshape our future chances to contend with Dame.

If they wait until the deadline to make a trade, then they're pretty much giving up on the season. The way that this team is currently constructed and playing, they will be way out of the playoff race by the deadline.

I want more minute for the DSJ, BM, TW, and Brown. Develop those guys to determine keepers and fits

Well the range I gave is a little over a week from now to the deadline. If Cronin hasn't been given the green light to tear it all down, including trading Dame, and start a youth rebuild then he will have to make moves that have this team competitive enough to make up the ground between the time he makes them and the playoffs, for the team to have a chance to win in the playoffs. I honestly think if he doesn't make those moves then he won't retain the job and everyone has to believe this guy wants this job. So I expect moves... I'm just not panicking after 13 days without a move.

the physical isn't mandatory. Teams can waive the physical on an incoming player. In CJ's case a team can ask for all of the medical records on the collapsed lung

13 days then but I do think it's logistically easier in the middle of the season to trade a healthy player than one that doctors won't let play.

if it was a knee or a shoulder, sure. I'm not sure a collapsed lung without any puncture is that unpredictable. Maybe...I just don't know

The ones right I would put on the market is CJ Nurk Covington Simons those 4 should bring you something that could help and plus future picks. I am not saying use all them in the same trade. Simons probably will have to with one of the other 3.

Three guard lineups aren’t necessarily a bad idea, but when none of them are above average defensively it’s a HORRIBLE one.

It’s so fucking obvious what needs to be broken up here.
*has needed broken up for 5 years.

Neil "Mr. Hubris" Olshey really hosed us, and Dame.

Please. Get Dame his surgery. Clean house. Start next year fresh.

I just hope Cronin wasn't in reality largely responsible for Olshey's roster decisions.

What is Cronin/front office doing? The time is ticking fast on this season. Either you sign a big to help immediately or you need to make trades fast. Marquese Chriss was available, Ersan Ilyasova was available, Boogie Cousins was available. All guys that are taller than 6’9”. There is a tipping point to the season where it will be too late to make a run and would be better off to tank and just keep the lottery pick.
Maybe for CJ's lung to fully inflate?
