I become more and more convinced every game that Sharpe is meant for a secondary or tertiary role.
I think he's the perfect type of player to be the leading scorer on a team where the best player is a guy like LeBron, Pippen or Jokic but at 22 he doesn't have the type of desire to be the best on the court to be a #1 option on a contender.

I'll still give him time to grow before saying that where he's at today is his ceiling.

Up 8 after a very long first half. The good news is that we're ahead, we're playing far more connected on D than they did at the beginning of the game and we're playing against the worst team in the West.

That doesn't mean that the Pels won't make a run but this is one of the few teams that it would make sense for us to beat by a safe margin.

Peavy is locking Sharpe up. I really don’t believe in Sharpes personal creation.

Murray with 2 blocks and 3 steals. He cant shoot but he does work his ass off on defense.

Playing well in general, but Shaedon's inabilty to create space with the dribble or to make that open 12-foot pullup in the paint that he gets several times per game and usually leaves short is a problem.

His offensive footwork is not good. His dribble is not good. He's trending as a guy whose upside is Norman Powell -- basically a small-ball small forward. He needs to get some real coaching on his dribble.

It's not hard. Peavy just is doing the same thing that Ajay Mitchell did to Shaedon the last game and other defenders have done to Shaedon. His go-to move when closely guarded is to jump over people. He can't dribble. He has a hesi but doesn't seem to have confidence in it. He always dribbles at the same pace at the same height and rarely changes direction.

Compare that to Caleb, who is 4 inches shorter and not nearly as athletic. But he was guarded by Mitchell last game a few possessions after Mitchell stonewalled Shaedon. Love did a machine gun with his feet, quick dribble off the long dribble, forcing Mitchell to backpedal and creating space for an easy 10-footer. Sharpe tried to overpower Mitchell and failed.

Shae and DC are fine but not exactly star caliber.

So who has been a star material that was taken after Shaedon and DC?M the *only* one you could claim is Jalen Williams. And I would he's really not significantly more of a 'star caliber" than Shaedon is especially given that Shaedon is 2 years younger.

Jalen Williams is a significantly better two way player. Literally all nba and all defense.

Caleb Love delivers another good game. Guy can shoot from distance pretty consistently.

my point is that it's not like Shaedon has been a bust.

no he isn't a bust at all. I didnt mean to suggest he was a bust. I was thinking the Cronin picks of Scoot, Murray, and Yang. I still hold out hope for Scoot and Murray is a good defender.

Portland up 15 with a minute left and thread full of doom and gloom.

Love with great 3pt shooting. A couple of bad turnovers early on but he righted the ship and torched NOP from long

Remix also won, beating the second-best G-league team (and the only team to beat the best G-league team) at home.

Dillon Jones got a triple double, Blake Hinson scored 35, but once again I'm most impressed by Andrew Carr

So Caleb Love might just be better than scoot Henderson
