We got the win so that's great. Maybe Shaedon was sick or something.

As far as how Love looked in clutch time he was not good at all. He was out of position on defense and 0 for 2 from three and 1 for 4 from the charity striipe. Again though it's a win and I don't know what might have kept Shaedon on the bench.

BTW, one of the moments of the night for me was watching a teenager in the front row trying to get the Coyote to shoot him with the shirt gun from point blank range during a break in the action in the 4Q. Was hoping the Coyote would bite on that.

Because he had scored six points and had four turnovers in 28 minutes. It’s not rocket science. In THIS GAME he was our fifth leading scorer and had just thrown a pass to Kevin Calabro.

If Tiago did bench Shae for having a bad game, which Shaedon did have, it was a short sighted decision. Shaedon needs to know that the coach has his back and I don't think he would have played any worse than Love did since Deni came back in with Toumani when Shae sat. If Shaedon was having a bad game for physical reasons that the coach knew about then it is what it is.

If being benched for one game because he was stinking up the court was enough to break Shaedon’s psyche, he should be traded immediately, because he would not be resilient enough to play in the NBA.

The team is coming up on having to make a decision on Love and Sidy. Both have played in over 29 games and have a max of 50 games available for them (they don't have to, iirc, play in a game for it to count. If they're available, it counts towards the 50 game total).

They'll need to convert those contracts to guaranteed, or assign them to the g-league for the rest of the year.

I think, barring a trade, their two players who might be unloaded are Rupert and Murray.

I don't know if the league has some kind of lee-way due to injuries or not.

no way am I dropping Murray when Javonte Cooke and Duop Reath are still on our roster.

I could see pulling Shaedon for a few minutes but benching him seems rash. I'm not worried about it breaking his psyche. I just think it's good for the best players on the team to know that their coach has their back and I think he would have given us a better chance at the win... that we got anyway than Love in that situation.

This isn't high school basketball. NBA starters rarely if ever get benched because they're having an off night. The reason is that if you believe a guy is good enough to start and finish most games then you should believe he's the best player to have in on any given play. You should believe that the guy can play his way through the bad stretch.

Again, maybe he was sick or has something else going on physically. I just would have liked to hear Tiago's reason and I think one of the reporters asking him questions after the game should have inquired about it.

There is no exception to allow them to play longer on their two way contract. A team does have a hardship exception in the case of injury and can sign a free agent or convert a two way player to a standard contract that does not affect the salary cap.

I think before we cut both of those guys we would make a trade that opened up at least one if not both roster spots necessary to play Love and Sidy more games.

I also think that Scoot and Jrue returning soon with Blake returning late in the season might make it so Love doesn't need to play.
