Screw tanking. Wins like this are fun to watch. Great games by CJ and Leonard!

CJ - 35/11/9/4
Leonard - 16/11/2
Harkless - 13/6/1/3

Damn wish I could have seen this one.

Yes and that's why Frazier was running point in the fourth quarter.

Sometimes this place is insufferable with idiotic posts.

Obviously jokes just fly right past you. Bed time, perhaps?

Meyers is way better playing center and guarding centers. He looks completely lost trying to defend the perimeter.
Nards wasn't the one who let casspi go off in the 1st. But the guy only got one open look with Nards on him when he was on the perimeter.

Other points of note:

- @blue9 I definitely misjudged the Meyers @ C thing you've been harping on. Especially without another big in there. That was eye opening.

- Allen Crabbe is better than Ben McLemore

- Did Dame kiss CJ on the cheek?

CJ McCollum is the first NBA player with at least 35 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals since Kevin Garnett (12/10/04 vs. SAC).

CJ McCollum is the first Trail Blazer with at least 35 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals since Clyde Drexler (1/28/92 at GS).

Players with 35+ points, 11+ rebounds, 9+ assists, 4+ steals in road game since 1985-86: McCollum (tonight), Drexler (1992), Jordan (1989).

They are interchangeable, but I am very impressed with how CJs vision has developed throughout this season. It's nice to see player development.

I'm right there with you. I 100% agree we can make this work as long as CJ doesn't try and go for his own team which I don't think he would ala Jackson/Harden (who of course were both 6th men). He should be starting at SG for hopefully along time to come so that should be good. Only concern much like a lot of others is the defense when both are on the court. It can work, though.

Sac-Town knows how to tank: have your stud center shoot treys!

That was perplexing. You know George Karl has just given up trying to develop Cousins. Anytime he tries to be impose discipline, there's huge blowup int he Sactown media and he has to apologize.

If it really was a joke, my bad. :)

Not quite bedtime yet. Back in PDX at the moment!

Yes it was lol. I just wanted to put a spin on the "were better without Dame" posts by saying it that way. I say we are better with both playing. :)

Harkless continues to impress when given extended playing time. His help-side defense on Cousins in the second-half was beautiful and those strong takes the bucket were amazing as well!

Tonight proved that McCollum has a bigger ceiling than a prime Jamal Crawford (which isn't shabby by any means), but the question still remains: Can Dame and CJ be productive along side one another over the long haul?

Up to coach and management to figure out how to maximize both their talents. Stotts has that down perfectly now given the pieces around them with how he staggers their minutes. The fact that there's always a major threat at the lead guard position, and that there's always two guys who require double teams on the perimeter is a HUGE matchup advantage vs. any team. You don't just give that advantage away to try to emulate the conventional lineup thing.

So true. And he gets open more on the perimeter when guarded by one himself.

David Thorpe said CJ had a chance to be like Reggie Jackson. Turns out he was right. Unfortunately, right down to the "plays best when the all-star PG is out and will deserve his own team very soon".
OKC has made some idiotic moves over the past few years, mostly financially driven. And their coach was an idiot who couldn't make it work.

ANNNND, they had a third ball dominant guy on the perimeter who is a top 3 player in the league. They had geometry problems

We don't have those issues.
