The win has been canceled and the loss is now definitely going to happen on a date TBD. We had to beat Patty, Blake and a bunch of GLeaguers... we would have got that shit done. Now we'll likely have to face them full strength and when I say that I mean at a more full strength than anyone has seen them at this season because Kyrie will be playing too. That's the team that's tied for the third best record in the league right now + Kyrie. Just an unfortunate turn of events for us or fortunate if you're on team tank.
 
I heard the game has been pushed back due to covid?

Just looking at the players available for the Nets our team could take a victory in this game for granted. There are going to be a lot of guys who are getting a shot at playing in the NBA and want to make a name for themselves or just get themselves some guaranteed NBA money in the future. Our guys could overlook them. Obviously Patty and Blake Griffin are playing and everyone on this team knows that both have the potential to be dangerous but if our team with its problematic defense doesn't take every one of these players seriously, one of them could go off and we could be on the wrong end of this one.

This is a chance to get a win against a team that we likely would have lost against had it not been for COVID, so we better not fuck it up and look past them because COVID has eleven of their players out leaving only two of their rotation guys available to play. Gotta have this win! Go Blazers!!!

They've come out really low energy against teams they were supposed to be better than quite a few times this season. Not lately but early on. If you think there was no chance that our guys would have gone into that game assuming they were going to win because they were playing against the non NBA talent that the Nets planned to put out there... I think you're not taking into consideration human nature.

However, I have no idea why we're even discussing this since there is no game.

These are professionals who have made it the top of their profession. From when they were six, they were taught to respect their opponent. It may be human nature for fans to take wins for granted but not NBA players.

OK, NBA players never overlook their opponents. There is no such thing as a trap game.
 
How can there be three pages and everyone is talking about being dumb? By the way does anyone know anything about this game being cancelled? I'm on the road again.

So the guy has been out for how long? And he’s not gonna return until his wife delivers?

I’m all for Dad being there and all, but trade this guy now and bring back some kid that wants to earn his money, play basketball, and make wine after he retires at age 35 - geeesh!
