Philly fans lol. Crying about foul discrepancy. Maybe if Embiid (or anyone else on their roster outside of Simmons) actually attacked the basket instead of jacking jumpers, it would’ve forced the issue. Then again Embiid got his shit rocked the two or so times he actually went at Nurk, so...
This is priceless

ET and CJ were on the bench for almost the entire comeback. Ball movement increased, actual good passing increase....it was a pleasant surprise.

(When CJ did come back in, he went 1-4 the rest of the quarter making sure he got his shots and passing to no one.)

This Team plays so much better when ET is on the bench. Sotts has to see that. He kills the Offense and his Defense is overrated. Harkless is a better Defender and can hit the 3, can also post up and is a good cutter. He is better in almost all Categories than Evan trash Turnover

Oh, Nurk flops. There is literally no denying that.

I wish he'd teach a little of that to Dame. It's the missing ingredient he needs to add in order to elevate his game to Harden's level.

Even when Harkless is playing Bad he is still better than Evan turnover

Fuck. Every fucking time. Every fucking time I fall asleep on the damn couch the Blazers come back to win & I miss it.

If they televised every game on days when I am really tired, they'd never lose.

Sweet dreams then! ;)

he doesnt flop, hes theatrical and its beautiful thing to watch, like watching the ballet or figure skating... hes one of the best in the league, he always gets the calls, but I dont know why does he get hit in the head so often

Embellish is a better word for what Nurk does, because I’ve never seen him try to fool a ref. He actually does get hit and makes sure the refs see it. I don’t see anything wrong with it. He’s not cheating the game. It’s really no different than taking a charge.

Btw if i'm Napier, I would kick Nurkic right in his Ass for not hitting the shot after that great Pass. That would have been a top 10 Pass at the end of the Season

Exactly this. Nurk "sells" the contact, but he doesn't invent contact that didn't happen. Would I rather NBA officiating not require that a player "sell" contact? Of course. But the NBA is what it is. Gotta play the game.

Yup. There’s a difference between what Nurk does and an actual flop artist like Harden who snaps his head back when someone grazes his elbow. THAT is cheating the game.

I want people around here to remember this the next time the Blazers jack up 60 jump shots.

Good point, but interestingly, Nurk got called for an offensive foul when he didn't sell hard enough.

The only time I’ve complained about the refs is when Lillard attacks the basket over and over and gets literally 0 calls. If the team “jacks up 60 jump shots” they don’t deserve to go to the line.

That game is why Nurk is fool's gold, I hate to say. He is unwilling or unable to do that every night. First time I have seen him dunk since last year.

So you wouldn't bring him back at all? He is ONLY fools gold if he gets MAX imo and he won't so I am fine with having him. Remember, we won't have cap space to replace him if we just let him walk.

One last thing, he is very young. His maturity level is going to improve and he isn't the player he will be in 3 years.

You have to stay away from that cubby wubby womb room tea on game days.

Honest question most people wont think is an honest question......So did the refs cost Philly the game?

You simply cannot lose for 41 days, in Rip City, and not have some kind of repercussions

We may not be “title town” but for fuck sakes we do have a shit ton of pride on our home floor.....or we did. I’m crushed. If I remember correctly the year we played the Pistons in the finals we lost 3 games at home. That’s off the top of my head and I think I’m at least close.

That was Blazers basketball

We lost 3 home games in the Finals. That was Blazers basketball alright.

Nurkic just reminds me of the too cool high school player who suddenly becomes good and now thinks he’s a bad ass. The strut, being overly dramatic when he gets touched, all of it. I could live with it if he was tough but i don’t think he is.

Well for one CJ is a proven 20+ PPG scorer. That is something they really need. They need a player who can ISO and get you a bucket, CJ would be a perennial all-star in the east too.
I wouldnt do that deal if I were Phila GM/owner, no way whatsoever... they are in the rebouilding process and I say roll the dice for the couple of years and see how team develops, in that time, Saric value will become higher than it is right now cause he is sure thing and when it comes to Fultz, well he practically didnt play this season, so its hard to tell if hes gonna develop as they expect etc

they gain absolutely nothing by adding CJ while sending Fultz & Saric away... they should trust the process for couple of years and see how it goes, if it doesnt work, then do some trades, shake things a bit... Embiid and Simmons are clearly untouchable on that team, both now and in the future, but when it comes to Fultz, Saric, Covington, they all are valuable assets and I believe they will be available in the future if things doesnt work as expected, or just to get better player(s) by moving them

and I dont know Phila cap situation, can they afford big contracts as of now, but you can see their roster is filled with talent and veterans, so CJ doesnt make sense for them, other than being a bad deal..
