I was thinking that too. But Hood was shooting near 50% from three and he can post up. Plus Hood is taller and more experienced.
 
Dame got the benefit of 2 whistles after he got the tech

trent can create his own shot he just hasn’t gotten an opportunity yet to show it.
 
Ugh. Terrible end to the half. That inbounds pass was awful.

He might, he might not.
But Rodney Hood was a proven player shooting 50% from three and taking advantage of mismatches due to being 6'8.
Every time Trent has got the opportunity to play with the ball in his hands, not just space the floor so far this year. It's been a long 2 or a poor layup attempt.
Rarely has Rodney Hood taken a bad shot during his tenure with Portland.

Hood > Trentjr and it's not close.

They won the second quarter by 10, are shooting the three ball well, and basically evened up almost every stat in the second. If we don't refocus, they'll win.
 
Pro's is we shot around 54 percent from the 3 and we have 13 assist and we the edge on the boards.
Cons are we gave we didn't close out the 2 quarter and we gave them live in the game. Then the sun's are shooting 63 Percent from the 3.

sadly, Hood ruptured his Achilles....he might never get back to what he was; Matthews never did. History is stacked against a player with a ruptured Achilles. So then, Trent may remain a better option well into next season. But that's assuming his shooting so far isn't a mirage. Too small a sample to know yet. I mean, Stuaskas was over 40% last year over 21 games and he'd shot 30 more three's to this point

Although it's good that we're leading in assists and rebounds, we did have a massive advantage in these areas in the first quarter, but allowed the Sus to come right back (to almost even) in the second.
 
We can’t leave Baynes open from three.
