You know, though. The first few games, it seemed like he got it, that he was a role player and accepted it.

Once it became apparent this team wasn't a playoff threat, it was like he was just going to take his paycheck.

I will continue support this team but I will watching the young guys to see how they progress through out the season and I thought both Simons and Trent had solid games. But until Stotts and his coaching staff figure out a different type of system on defense this will be a long season.

The team plays zero defense. Until that is addressed this team, as constructed, will not win many games. They have no identity whatsoever; are they an offensive team (lack of ball movement and style of play suggests no)? Defensive? Somewhere in between? Stotts’ flaws have been masked by a healthy roster for the past few years - this is the first year he’s faced some adversity and he’s showing his true colours as a below average NBA coach. Time to go, IMO.

Yeah I agree on this. All year it’s been that way. They let players disrespect them and bully them. They absolutely need an enforcer type player.

Our three best players this season. Also- Nurk has never shown that he can play any better than Hassan has.

I wasn’t asking Melo to change, I was asking Blazers to not take two years to figure out what took the Rockets two weeks to figure out, and the entire rest of the league concurred.

This team has 1 functional big guy on the entire roster. Until this changes, why anyone would expect us to win a game is beyond me. Melo is already playing way too minutes and that won't help him as the season continues. Whiteside can only do so much given all that is being asked of him. The stretches where Tolliver is on the floor at center, we're going to get outscored.
