Not sure whether to be honored or freaked out

No, he just doesn't believe it should ever be used as an excuse for losing.

And I agree with that.
There's a difference between players/coaches using it as an excuse, and fans talking about it.

I agree that it's not OK for players to give up because of it, they've just got to be better than the refs, and the opposition combined.

Fans complaining about it doesn't impact the team, and is completely valid at times, given that biased refereeing occurs in the NBA at times.

Look at shot selection. It appears to me that Cleveland is more aggressive. We are settlingvfor a lot of jumpers. Cleveland seems to be attacking the rim more.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what it looks like to me

Remember how you said to adjust to the calls? When you adjust to one sided calls, that is what it looks like. The team getting called for cheap fouls backs off and that allows the other team to be more aggressive. They have more room to operate and they are confident they will get rewarded for their aggressiveness. The team getting hacked in the paint with no reward tends to settle for open jump shots, because why go into the paint to get whacked again and again with nothing to show for it? Might as well pop the open jumpers that you can at least have some control over whether they go in or not.

Solid take, I agree.

Meh. Running out of gas happens. This was a schedule loss, especially with IT returning to their lineup today.

I'm surprised we didn't go to Nurk more. He was beasting. Aminu sucked. Napier sucked. Hark sucked. I hope 2018 Turner remains 2018 Turner. I'm genuinely perplexed that we can't find any minutes for Vonleh. Does anyone have any idea why this guy is in the doghouse? Every game I've watched it seems like he's having a positive impact.

Every loss?

Regarding Vonleh, Stotts is still doing his usual musical starting lineups and rotations bit at this stage of the season.

It was good to see that Dame is healthy. He had WAY too many turnovers though. As usual we turned it over too much and got killed in fast break points. You would think the staff would address these issues.

I have to say I'm usually pissed after a loss. Maybe it's because I predicted a loss in Gramps prediction game and I'm sick of being on the "who's not hot list" or maybe because the player who makes this team go.... is back on the floor. Either way I saw some growth or at least some better team play tonight and I'm good with that. Go Blazers!!

Great game from Nurkic! - 23 pts (10/12), 7 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl, 0 to
Very solid by ET, this or close to it is what I'd like to see every game (he was on James, so he gets a pass on the fouls) - 15 pts (7/14), 8 reb (3 oreb), 3 ast, 1 blk, 6 pf
Decent game from CJ apart from the turnovers - 19 pts (8/17), 5 reb, 4 ast, 3 to
Good game by Chief except for the poor shooting - 5 pts (1/7), 9 reb (4 oreb), 2 ast, 1 stl
Good scoring by Dame, everything else.... - 25 pts (8/15), 6 ast, 1 stl, 7 to

No help from the bench (not that they had many minutes), with an uncharacteristically poor game from Ed (not that it was bad, just not up to his usual standard) - 5 pts (2/2), 3 reb, 1 stl, 1 blk, 4 pf

Tough game. Cavs win their 13 Straight at home. On to the next. We can't lose the easy ones... should have beaten Atlanta. Next game: must win .

I kinda hate it that the obvious book on blunting the Blazer's offense is to go all thugball on them . . .

Jake Layman needs to find a different line of work. And why did Stotts quit with 6 minutes left?

This is more to the forum not just you King;

I thought we learned our lesson about saying things like this with Pat. Guess not.

What's sad about Layman is we may have to keep him next year just to fill out our roster.
