Dragic outplaying Lillard . Dame is lucky if he makes the All Star game this year

We have our best player.
They are without their best player.
They are up 20.

DPBM :
Dame : -2.4 Nunn : -1.7
GTJr: -2.2 DRobinson: -1.4
CAnthony: -1.1 Bam: 4.3
Bazemore: 0.7 DJones Jr: 1.4
Whiteside: 3.0 Meyers: -.7

The more I watched this game (I stopped because it was a big pile of shit), the more it appears that Damian is super pissed at Whiteside.

And i don't blame him. He puts up #'s, but he doesn't make the team and teammates *better*.

Nurk does. That's why Nurk is better than Whiteside.

I wonder if anybody will finally take responsibility for this shit

If you can't tell when a team can actually play good team defense and when they can't then you should probably not make fun of people who can.

Who on the Heat is considered a good defender? Oh wait, yes the lockdown players Meyers Leonard and Goran Dragic!

I have zero question which team is playing good defense, it's pretty obvious. I don't have access to the audio/video of what is being taught at practice to be able to compare it to the career defensive production of these players.

If you think Dame, CJ, Melo, Trent, Ant, and Tolliver are good defenders, then I don't know what to say.

I don't Dragic is not a bad defender, at all. I've never seen that critisism of him either.

Miami has no players from last year's playoff rotation, do they?

This game isn’t a question of talent, this is shit, basic coaching vs. very good coaching.
Its both Blazers have very little talent and bad coaching. Miami has average talent and above average coaching.

We have the best player on the floor. It shouldn't be this bad.

Playoff series wins in the last 5 years:
Spoelstra's very good coaching: 1 in a bad eastern conference
Stotts basic coaching: 3 in the better western conference

This isn't a question of talent.

This team needs to tuffen up put some effort at the defense end. There no excuse how we play and some of reason are we don't play team ball neither ends. They need realize nobody going fill sorry for them.

I agree that coaching is a major issue with the team, but talent IS part of the issue too. You can only polish a turd so much before you realize it's shit.

Portland is obviously missing talent. But they have been running that same Iso crap no matter who has been in all season. Having the depleted do it is just that much worse.

There's a whole bunch of things at play here.

Spo is a great coach with a group that better complements his system and philosophies on both ends than he's had the last few years.

You've also got a group that has played well above expectations and has a lot of confidence and belief in what they're doing.

The Blazers are the exact anthesis of that right now.

sure but Miami’s blowing Portland out and their best player is...Bam Adebayo?

looking at this team...and it's prospects....I'm think last season's win against Denver was the high-water mark. That was followed by a sweep, and the current dumpster fire. Portland will get better when the injuries are behind them, assuming there aren't more injuries (and there always are), but I'm pessimistic Portland will be back in the WCF without some major change

hey once every 20 years might be the new pattern.

Will when you bad schemes and bad talent this what you get. We got 2 or 3 guys take people off the dribble but but majority of the time we are jump shooting team and when not hitting this what you get.

Very true. For an offensive guru, he runs a simple offense. It might be that they're not using the right parts, but really, quit getting shitty parts.

46% 3 point shooter coming off a pick, lets sag the big so he gets a wide open 3!

BUT NO IT'S THE FUCKING TALENT LEVEL THAT'S THE PROBLEM?
