its very difficult to foresee this team (even at full strength) turn around the season, way to many issues
we might sneak into the play-in, we should actually, even with all our issues, we should still be the better team than the kings or the spurs
We were 10-8. Let that sink in too. Crazy. 3 wins in last 17 games!blazers have three wins more than the worst team in the western conference (rockets, 10)
let that sink in
Yeah it only relieves the pain for a few weeks. During which you shouldn't be aggravating the injury. But you can't keep doing cortisone over time it will make the problem worse.maybe the cortisone shot wore off and its back to bothering him again? has happened to me with a shot in my shoulder, worked for a few weeks and then right back to where I was and eventually I had surgery relatively soon after that

i think they would, if they could get dame to agree and when you think about it: dame gets the surgery to fix the abdominal issue, blazers tank and hopefully get a good pick and we come back next season with healthy dame and a good playerJust embrace the tank. Should be the only expectation at this point.
Why not...
Someone should tell him about David Robinson. Stayed completely loyal. Took a season off and they got Duncan. And he won 2 championships. Played his whole career in SA.i think they would, if they could get dame to agree and when you think about it: dame gets the surgery to fix the abdominal issue, blazers tank and hopefully get a good pick and we come back next season with healthy dame and a good player
dame has too much pride to do that though
But at least you got your new coach!blazers have three wins more than the worst team in the western conference (rockets, 10)

In December, he broke his foot and timeline for a return was 6 weeks. 6 weeks later is early February but they decided to shut him down for the season to tank.Wasnt he injured badly? Like way more than dame or am I way off? Lol

terry stotts was a problem, that goes without sayingBut at least you got your new coach!
you could run in front first and make dinner later!Hey I'm running behind making dinner. Can they start at 730 instead?
He hurt his back early in the season but was able to come back from that. Then after being back for six games he broke his foot. I'm pretty sure the foot had healed, if I remember correctly, a while before the season ended and there were videos of him getting in full workouts and scrimmaging but they didn't bring him back because they were already out of the playoff hunt and were tanking.Wasnt he injured badly? I read that it wasn't torn and just inflamed which requires rest and the strengthening of the abdominal muscles around the connective tissue....everything I found said rest and conditioning were the cure for Dame's issue and surgery is only used for a tear which they said Dame didn't have....his is recurring inflamation that could lead to a tear if he pushes it at the wrong time.....Dame says cortisone shots are doing the trick and that's good news....I'd sure limit his minutes or have him rest games though with the record we've got ...especially if we go deeper into the loss columnsHe hurt his back early in the season but was able to come back from that. If Dame has a surgery (if that's even an option) to repair his injured abdominal tendon, then the recovery time for similar surgeries is 4-6 weeks before returning to normal activities. Maybe it would take him another two weeks to get back into good enough shape to play himself the rest of the way back into shape in games. So if that is a possibility and they made that decision he'd likely be back by early March but we'd likely be so far out of contention that it would behoove him to just get in shoot arounds with the team and sit the rest of the season as opposed to coming back and winning some games that might affect lottery odds.
This is all highly hypothetical because as much as I've read up on abdominal tendinopathy and that is sometimes the diagnosis for exacerbated abdominal tears, I just don't find articles that recommend treating it with surgery even though there is a surgery to repair an abdominal tendon tear.
DRob missed games at the start of the season with a bad back. Then returned and played a bit. When he broke his foot, they were 6-18.I think in 2 weeks we shut dame down. The latest will be early February. I don't think dames pride is bigger than his logic by that point. It's only a matter of time.
What was the spurs record by that point? Had to be shitty like ours will be by February.
Me too.I am so fired up for this game. Can’t wait.
