Of course he does. But when has booing an ex Blazer (or ex-any team player) ever done anything but make the player more determined to beat their old team? It just fires them up.

He has plenty of old teams. I hope we aren't the only ones he lights the fuck up.

The team defense was absent most of the game. The clips got what they wanted and contested our shots all game. I know it's only January but it would be nice to see 48-minute 'scrappy' defensive effort, like they have to bring in the playoffs. It's a disturbing trend to start slow all of the time and rely on flipping the switch. Batum being MIA didn't help.

Really enjoying the way Leonard is grasping his opportunity and balling out.

Confused as to why McCollum isn't doing the same. Dude's gotta figure it out. I wonder if there was some showcasing aspect to him getting extended PT last night.

Also, why did Terry only play 8 guys? I get that Doc did the same, but no reason to go this hard for a game in January. We coulda used Crabbe/TRob.

I can't watch the Clippers play, so I pretty much sat this out. They make me way too mad. They literally whine on EVERY possession.

Still #2 in west and on pace for 60+ wins. This all started with chris paul squeezing lillard bad hand like a dirty bitch. I hate that whole team and loved when wes put Reddick on his ass early.

he squeezed his hand bad??

I thought last night that Lillard made some poor decisions on his shot selection in the 4th quarter. Maybe the Lillard vs. Paul debate on ESPN got the better of him, or maybe it was frustration from all of the double-teaming and him trying to have another Lillard time 4th quarter, but he definitely took some ill-advised shots.

Yeah it was a rough night all around, I don't know what Stotts was doing. The only guys who showed up were Aldridge, Sasquatch and Leonard. Dame, Nic and Wes really didn't play well, and the bench scored I think 4 points outside of Meyers so it's a miracle they even had a chance in the 4th.

I'm also starting to wonder if they're trying to showcase CJ, but with the way he's been shooting it's probably hurting his value.

On a positive note, I'm blown away with Leonard the last five games. I almost can't believe it's the same guy.

very disappointing loss. i understand the defense is better this year and that Aldridge's defense is better, but it is the Clippers and it is a home game. Besides letting Jordan score late on leakout (if that's possible on a made basket), it happened twice early. Does Aldridge think Kaman is gonna be able to get back in time to stop those. Let's have some intensity and focus!

I think last night was just an old-fashioned coaching beat down. Doc had his team prepared to deal with the Blazers and Stotts didn't have an answer.

He only took 3 shots in the first half and then had 12 points in the 4th. He deferred to LA until the 4th, really. I only remember one shot I was like "Ehh..." But, it's Dame, and I really can't be that upset with one meh attempt.

:beatadeadhorse:

Hope that works, or derive from the spelling. :)

He DEFINITELY is. However, I think in this case (and maybe this case alone) that he is right.
I think it's something that's swept under the rug due to our W/L record. But there seem to be a few (very few) others who see some cause for concern. I don't know why talking about Stotts' weaknesses is so taboo - oh wait, this is S2!

It looked a little bit like Dame was falling victim to his own hype instead of playing the way the game dictated. Don't get me wrong, I love Lillard Time like every other Blazer fan, but last night we should've stayed on the L Train and taken it home. The guy could not miss for three quarters then they stopped going to him in the fourth.

Dame Wes and Nic were pretty much no shows in a disappointing loss. Lamarcus had an amazing game! If our starters all stepped up, we beat the Clips.

Aldridge was a beast last night. I wish we had either Matthews or Batum have a solid game to compliment that great performance. I think if either one had a good game too, then Lillard's game would come to him. There would be no chance FlopCity would be able to double pressure Lillard like that.

I just can't stand the Clippers (FlopCity)! Them and Houston are the biggest winning floppers in the NBA. The fact that the NBA allows them to behave in this manner (even rewarding them) is a travesty. I couldn't believe how they allowed Jordan to set those moving picks, Paul to try and grab Lillard's hand like that, then award Paul to initiate all the contact to draw the fouls.

The play-by-play shows that LMA only went 1-3 during his 7+ minutes in the 4th...was he being doubled, or did the guards go away from him? We weren't down by more than 3 until the last minute of the game. Dame was 3-7 (including 3 shots in the last minute when down more than 3). Wes was 0-3.

There were 3 straight plays where Aldridge shot a contested jumper that rimmed off. We were up 6 before that. I would say that killed our momentum, especially after Crawfull hit that contested 3 from 35 ft. Then it seemed like we kept forcing 3s

Our go-to plays at the ends of games are either threes or contested long twos. Given all the variety in Stotts' arsenal, I wonder why we don't get anything going toward the hoop. Our paint scoring is shit to begin with, it just goes into a tank in the fourth.

Lamarcus was terrific last night. Doubled Griffin and more in all the good stuff.
But dang, he sure didn't get championship level support from the guards!!
Meyers sure is coming on nicely too.
Maybe we better see if we can get Sergio to come lend a hand, he knows how to work an assist.

We got out-coached, out-reffed, and out-shot. In that order.

The Clippers are dirty whiny bitches. I hate them.

Kaman had his patented once-per-game astoundingly bad pass happen at a very bad time.

Batum wasn't THAT bad. His wrist is fuked up and he can't make a shot. And that is definitely not good.

CJ can and will shoot better than he showed last night.

My god am I glad we didn't "get" Hawes. Praise Jesus.
