So do we buy out Richards or Nash? Can we replace Nash with Kreider and then fill in the rest or do we buy out Richards and go after Statsny?
 
The Flyers haven't even been that good. That's what's very frustrating.

Have to agree. If the Rangers come out like this in game 5, they are just asking for trouble. They didn't really start going to the net until the last 5 minutes. Yeah Mason made some good saves, but he also left some rebounds, and if anybody in a Rangers jersey had bothered going to the net we might be looking at overtime or a 3-2 win. This is playoff hockey, and to win, you have to go for it for a full 60 minutes. Tonight, they just flat out did not!
 
You keep thinking that 28, and I will focus on what actually happens every single time in this situation. Not saying that in a rude way at all. Just saying it is what it is. What we do.

And I agree Mess. That is what concerns me about Sunday. Flyers are 1-0 with Mason. Clearly will have a ton of confidence going for Sunday. We made it SO easy on him tonight though, so maybe when we crowd him Sunday it will un-nerve him. We'll see.

Huge game though. Pretty much need to win in (and then BTW...we will lose at Philly Tuesday and play a game 7).
 
Nothing showed their lack of killer instinct then that 4-3 PP to start the third. Just passing the puck around like a bunch of fools instead of looking to get shots.
 
Respectfully you guys just don't get it. You guys go up and down like a yo-yo with the team. I have to agree if they play like this in game 5...

That's the point, they don't do that. They do play like this when their back is not on the wall or they have a chance to take a two game lead. You would think by now you guys would understand how this team operates.

And you said it Mess. The Flyers are not that good. We have clearly been the better team in this series IMO. That is the most frustrating part of this series Mess. We should be up 3-1 no doubt. But not how we roll.
 
Chuck, now you see how CK is missed. Could've used him in this series. Not using his injury as an excuse.

Not an excuse but against a team like Philly you would like his size in the lineup.
 
And ZERO moving around Mess. Literally standing still passing back and forth...back and forth on the egde. Have to wonder what they think was going to happen by doing that.

Said after the 2nd that PP was huge, and in a lot of ways it was the game.
 
I am not mentioning Kreider. Teams play without players. Captains missing. Goalies missing. Didn't stop us for two very strong wins...NOPE.

This was about getting dirty like you have to in order to win playoff games. We didn't do it...we lose.

Don't want to hear about Kreider.

After starting the season well the PP turned into complete garbage again. Back to their old ways.

He's a forward with size. He's definitely missed. Not an excuse but it's a fact that he's what the Rangers lack.

What has happened in the past has no impact on THIS team. We have a whole new coaching staff and STILL can't get it done. And we haven't win a Cup in the past with this team, therefore we always lose a series, so I guess by going by THAT history in this situation, it says that we will inevitably lose, right? So why even bother playing right?
The Rangers are in a BAD spot right now because the Flyers MAY have figured out how to control play against them. If you honestly aren't worried about this, you should be. Only sustained pressure Rangers had in the last period and a half was the last minute when they actually tried to score and went all out for the goal. They needed to play like that the whole time.
 
Yeah, of course it would be better to have him, and not have Carcillo in the top 9, but what are you going to do. I can't concern myself with that. Two 4-1 strong wins tell me this isn't about Kreider. It is about our want to really.

We'll see how it goes...

No chuck. We do get it. The Rangers go up and down, win lose win lose, but at the end, they always lose out. We just would like it if they would actually play a game when they can go up 3-1 like they actually give a fucking shit and not like they can't wait for the next game since there's three more left to try and win 2
 
Okay, 28. It is why I can EASILY say 1-1 and 2-2 from day one. So easy to call. Very simple. But you tell yourself this is all different...LOL.

They have won 3 playoff series the last two seasons 28. Doing pretty much this. I don't like it. I don't want it. BUT I do expect it because it is what they do.

I rather not be a rat with the cheese and expect a different result every time I touch the cheese...LOL.
 
Wow this board is in full meltdown mode now after a crap effort. I HATED the game tonight but I'm not that worried about losing this series until we actually play an elimination game.

They will play a very good game Sunday despite the horrible start time. Why? Because they lost tonight and this team with this core needs pressure to play well. It's beyond maddening

I think the Rangers will need to have Lundy steal the remainder of the series for them if you ask me.
 
One bad game and the Rangers are still averaging almost 3 goals a gm in the series and now we have to have Hank steal the series?

You nailed it Dis. It is what we do as a team. And the meltdown is what we do as Ranger fans.

Now I get it because the Rangers don't win that much big picture. BUT what I don't get is why a game like this tonight, A GAME YOU SHOULD FULLY EXPECT IF YOU ARE A TRUE RANGER FAN, would turn everyone so negative. This was to be expected. So why all the outrage and oh it is over stuff when it happens. Confuses me.

Lose on Sunday and I will be on board with you guys, but right now NOTHING that has happened in this series isn't what I expected at the start. 100% according to plan IMO.

Honestly, how far can this team really go when you have a top player like Nash playing like complete fucking garbage? One goal in his last ten games now.
 
Speaking of Hank, the guy has not had much to do in this series for a change and we still somehow manage to struggle to win the series...LOL

Because you're playing with fire not thinking the top guns on the Flyers aren't going to be due to light it up.
 
2 of 3 series, we have home ice, we had beaten Philly 9 straight at MSG until game 2, in game 2 we had a 2-0 lead before we took our foot off the gas and it cost us.

I do admit I am a little concerned for the same reasons Mess is, Flyer/Mason confidence AND the pressure is really on us for that game IMO, but until we lag an egg in that game and get beat to trail I wouldn't get overly negative.
 
Very concerned about Nash not scoring. I thought he was ok in the series before tonight but he wasn't even trying for most of the game. Let's see how he and the team responds in G5. Got the game at home w a chance to go up 3-2. Not a bad place to be

Different question Mess. And very fair BTW.

I think the ECF is very doable. We are better than Philly. Pitt is not that good. And CBJ, while gritty, is not as good as we are either.

But we cannot win a cup like this. That is the goal AND why there is a big issue.
 
It's really friggin unbelievable how some of you overrate this franchise as being some great powerhouse. Why do people meltdown? Because this franchise is a loser and has been overrated by fans and others for years. That's why nothing changes. Oh yippy lets win a playoff series and get throttled again in round two. Even a good run a couple of years ago ends by losing to a Devils in a series they had no business losing. The only serious run this organization has had since 1997. Still we talk about this team like even though they make things hard on themselves they always go on to this major success. Success measured by what? Having their asses handed to them when they step up in class during the playoffs?
 
Right Dis. Best 2 of 3 and we have home ice. Would sign up for that no doubt.

That stat Mess posted, 2 goals in 20 playoff games for Nash I believe it was, is INSANE and SAD.
