Yeah, some places offer alternative lines. In your exmple, if you wanted Portland +5 (one less point than the set line) you would have to "buy" the point. In that case, to get Portland +5 you'd probably have to be $12 to win $10 vs $11 to win $10 if you took them at +6.

Dang. Thats where its confusing. Ive never dabbled in the sports betting even though im somewhat knowledgeable on it. I do understand the feeling of having that game mean something when it really doesnt (I.e. this game).
