Well our offense last 3 game haven't reached the team average in scoring. I already our defense went long time now the offense has gone south too.

Really now?
Could've fooled me.

Why don't you do what Philly fans did and wear a bag over their head to games as they intentionally tanked.
That'll show em.
Then when Portland starts winning again, you can then BW like most Philly fans do now.

In the mean time, don't call others stupid because they go to Blazer games/support the team.

At least we had a higher assist rate than Milwaukee!

It's been established by some on here that assists determine good offense. That the Bucks coach is an offensive genius. Therefore, our offense is amazing, right?

Is it bad when not one of our bench players would even be able to crack the Bucks bench rotation?

It good to see the young play and looks like Hoard might decent with little experience.

Again, I just told you I don’t think fans are stupid... it was an implication of what Neil thinks of fans... he has shown his disdain for fans in interviews... sorry if you took it the wrong way.
I’m calling bullshit on this one. I’ve met Neil Olshey. Just a simple very short conversation but in no way does he “Disdain” fans. He was extremely nice and easy going. He loves his kids also. This post is pretty far from reality.

Yeah, I’m sure he loves the fans that go up to him and kiss his ass... I highly doubt you would get a friendly reaction if you questioned any of his moves... I saw his exit interview and k ow what I saw and heard from him... he definitely hates the fans

Well maybe if you didn't let you 100 level tickets go you could have gone up and talked to him also like a bunch of people do at games he attends.
Nah i ain't buying it.

It hurts but we need these loses. Keep piling them on it’ll be worth it later

Sure. The 10th pick or so in a crappy draft year is exactly what we should be looking for to build on for next season.

I have to compliment you on your avatar. It fits your posting style to a T.

You don’t know shit about Neil as a person.

half way thru the season and OKC is 6.5 games ahead of the Blazers. I wasn't very optimistic about this season after seeing the roster, but I would have never expected the Thunder to have that kind of lead on Portland

all OKC has to do to hit 45 wins is go 23-20 the rest of the way. For Portland to hit 45 wins they'd have to go 29-13 the rest of the way. That would be Portland matching in the 2nd half of the season what the Clippers have done in the 1st half of the season. That would be a .690 winning percentage when the Blazers had a .646 winning percentage last season.

there are 16 games till the all-star break, and 11 of the games are against teams with winning record...ugh. Maybe more relevant, there are 11 games till the trade deadline and 9 are against teams with winning records. 19-32 at the trade deadline? 20-36 at the all-star break?

Remember when most of us were so excited at getting Little? A lotto talent that late in the 1st.

At this point I don't even care whether Little was over-rated or if Stotts is just clueless. Can anything go right for the Blazers? My frustration and disgust have reached the boiling point! :hairout:

You don't believe in ball movement and like ISO ball. OK, we get it!

I've been told assists = ball movement = good offense, so with our assist rate being higher than the Bucks, I would think you would be praising the offense tonight, no?

There are fans who are calling for sweeping changes. Do you think the roster needs tweaking or significant changes?

“The same people that wanted sweeping changes last year?”

(Questioner responds: I don't know. I don't know them personally. I just hear from them all the time)

"Right. Great. Well, last year was going to take sweeping changes because we got swept by Golden State in the first round and all the alarmists overreacted.
.
.
.
"But this idea that (we need) sweeping changes. Where were all these people that wanted sweeping changes 10 days ago? Where were they? They were the ones bouncing off the walls in the Moda Center when we got the third seed .
.
.
.
Relative to people back in December who were complaining that we weren't going to make the playoffs and we were in purgatory because we weren't going to make the playoffs and we weren't going to pick high enough. Right? That was the rallying cry. Then it was, 'Oh my God. They're going to blow the third seed because they're going to lose all these games. They're not even going to get home court advantage.' They overreacted to that.”

Man, the disdain this guy has for the fans in Portland. He thinks we are all beneath him. I will never forget that exit interview.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend you. I thought if others can piss and moan about the same 3 things every day I could joke around about this.

Not offended. We just see the issue very differently. I believe in the old (fasioned) idea that the goal is a possesion where the ball never touches the hardwood. IMHO, Roy was better at the ISO than anyone on the current roster and I wasn't fond of it even then. :dunno:

I totally respect that as I've had coaches who felt the exact same way. Since the people who taught me how to play said more passing was better, I believed that it was the truth. It wasn't until I gained a better understanding of statisics and correlation that I realized assists and ball movement don't really have that great of an impact on winning. Maybe at the high school level this isn't the case, I don't have information to confirm or deny it.

For the record, I don't love ISO ball, I like efficient offenses, in any form. Now, if a roster is made up of players where ISO is more efficient then I'm ok with it because my main goal is for the Blazers to win.

You shouldn't listen to those people. Blazers can get assists with almost no ball movement after an ISO for 20 seconds and then a bail out pass to someone who hits a shot at the buzzer.
