Fuck Nike. I can't stand companies that are hypocrites. I prefer to get my shoes from someone who doesn't make theirs in sweatshops full of underpaid peasants while giving hundreds of millions to millionaires with fake afros who think they made some sort of social justice sacrifice for so called "oppressed" people.

In as far as tonight's game goes, it's nice to finally be back facing serious teams. Hopefully our bench continues lighting things up.

And Terry......let's try double-teaming Walker. Just TRY, Terry. Please.

Interesting. My first thought was that Walker isn't good enough to warrant a double team. But here's a look at his stats compared to Dame -

Wow. Walker is solid. He's just a step behind Dame in all the major categories.

A concern with double teaming Walker is that he's a good passer. He has a higher USG% than Dame, but a lower TOV%. He definitely can make you pay if you leave a guy open.

I figure someone who scores 40 points against us should probably be double-teamed at some point. But you make good points about his passing.
 
They really need to focus tonight. The two game road trip is a tough one and they can not afford to lose 3 straight. This has trap written all over it. They have to assume it will be a close one and not take any plays off. Charlotte has players who can catch fire.

That's fine. You disagree. However, it IS a part of Nike, and I call it as I see it.

I appreciate your disagreement. But it's my opinion, and I'm not going to apologize for it.

But, at the risk of further derailing this thread, I will choose to leave it there.
 
I love what we're seeing from Dame this season. Statistically, I think most people would say he was better last year, but I think they'd be wrong. I think this has been his best season. His shot selection has been better. When Nurk's playing well he's happily just let the offense flow through Nurk. He's constantly differed to CJ at times even when he's struggled. He's sacrificed his stats to let others get theirs. At times it can be frustrating because Dame scoring outbursts are fun to watch, but I think while last year he was a lot of the time in the "I'm a superstar mode" this year he's just making the best basketball play.

If they can continue to get those consistent numbers from Nurk they really could be a dangerous team. I still think they need a wing pretty bad, but that Dame / Nurk combo is really, really good. I realize his assists are currently down a bit, but I've been really impressed at his patience this year, I can only think of a handful of times he's really played hero ball.

When us old farts started out here it was rare to get rep pts...which were before the likes function...now you get likes for sneezing around here...I believe I've liked more posts than anyone here....maybe CC or Sly are in the running but let's say...things have changed around here. Back in the day, in the words of HCP...a rookie was a rookie...nobody gave rookies likes...now you can post once and get a couple dozen...(crap...nobody will like this post!)

Some rookies deserve the likes. Like Dame in his 1st game vs the Lakers.
