Well, we've got a year and a half before we have that problem. If we have drafted/traded for/developed a center sufficiently capable of supplanting Mase by that point, I won't be too concerned about losing him.

I guess so. But instead of Mase we could have had 4 years of a lock down defender in RHJ.

I'm calling for Stotts job if we lose this game and he doesn't put Vonleh back in... He should have put Vonleh on Okafor the other night, but today it's obvious. Somebody get the coach a stat sheet...

Mason Plumlee has recorded a new career-high seven assists (6, 4 times).

I think most think of young as 23 and under as far as the NBA is concerned. Plumlee is nearly 26- most studies show physical peak between 27-29 so in the NBA concept he is more or less who he is physically. His development, if any will be between the ears/skill sets, and I can't recall the last time someone was able to grow THAT much beyond 25-26 years old in the NBA. Not unprecedented but not all that common either.
You could be right but then he's a year and a half from physical peak and in his case...those aren't Kobe Bryant years...he's low mileage starting in the NBA

No doubt. I was so excited when we drafted him, and so...uncertain when we traded him. I had hoped for a lot more offensively from Plumlee, but I think we're definitely at a WYSIWYG point with him.

Maybe Meyers can help Mase bulk up in the offseason. :dunno:

Put Plumlee brain in Meyers's body.

TBH, I don't think Plumlee has THAT great of a BBIQ. Average at best. Probably more consistent than Meyers, but he's not exactly Shane Battier out there.

Shooting coach may be the ticket for him..has worked for some players...Robin Lopez improved his jumper and chip shot long after Phoenix

As far as BBIQ is concerned, I guess comparatively to the rest of the team Mason looks like Kobe out there.

What you see is what you get?

Yeah, I agree with you there. I'm not mad at the trade. I still like Mase, just a bit disappointed because I like RHJ a little better. And the contract situation too no doubt.

Here's to hoping Planet Pat can tip the trade to our favor!

What a very strange first three quarters:
POR 32 27 35
WAS 17 40 19

Blazers were semi-consistent, but the Wizards were just a completely different team in the 2nd.

MR: "76ers may never lose again"
MB: "WOW...*laughter*"

IS there a way to just change the opponent on every Meyers highlight tonight to make it seem he does this regularly?

Did Jefferson play well before he got hurt. I was pissed when we traded him as well. But Plumlee has actually been better than I expected.
