You aren’t really going to say that the team that’s suiting up for tBlazers now is representative of what they’d have in the playoffs, are you?

Hood is not coming back this year....Collins may not be back this year and even if he is it's going to be late in the season....Nurkic might not be back till after the all-star break at this rate. If Portland is 22-34 or 21-35 at the all-star break, they might not even make the playoffs. OKC is 7th seed and they are 5 games over .500. If the Blazers are 21-35 at the break, they'd have to go 23-3 over the last part of the season to be 6 games over .500. They'd have to go 20-6 just to be .500

and the way this season has gone injury-wise it's bop-a-mole....we don't know what the playoff roster would look like, assuming Portland made it there

I get what you're saying, but I don't agree.

Stotts is under contract for 2 more seasons. Dame is under contract through 2025; Olshey until 2024. You want the guy with the least amount of job security to throw games without the blessing of the two guys who will be with the franchise the longest?

where did I say to throw games? All I said was try and keep Dame's minutes down. He should be at 34 or 35 minutes a game. Stotts isn't just responsible for winning games...he has to protect his players and weigh priorities

Is Moses Brown hurt? What the Fuck only 2 minutes? hahaha

Man Simon's has had 2.5 games to step up since CJ went down. Not sure if he is just playing timid? moment to big for him? Just seems other teams rooks and young players are stepping up and he is not.
He didn’t shoot great but he scored 15 points including a crucial 3 in OT . He also had an important chasedown block.

If Stotts plays Dame 34 minutes tonight, does Portland win? I think we all agree that's a no. So by limiting his minutes he would've thrown the game tonight.

If Stotts is running guys into the ground making it so they're dead in the playoffs, that's on him. Why shouldn't Olshey be the one thinking long term?

setting aside the point about needing overtime, at home, to beat the team with the worst record in the league....

this was just about the most entertaining game of the year...and yeah, that says a lot about the year
Warriors don’t have the worst record in the league.

Love,
Trae

Simons always gets by his man but stops short to take some sort of tough floater. Why can't he just take one more step?

I mean early in the season Simons was trying to get to the rim,.. Only to be finishing like Baze.. so he quickly figured out that wasn't going to work well.
Now he's going to the runner. Which looks a little better than it did early in the season as he's not trying to get as deep... But still wonky.
I wish he'd get back to the 10-15foot jumper he was taking early in the season. Seemed like his best shot. Abuse it until the defense adjusts and tries to take it away from you.
For whatever reason doesn't seem like he's even looking for that shot anymore.

I wanted to trade CJ boy am I a dumbass

we’ve gotten a good look at Anfernee this year

he’s nowhere close to being close. horrendous defender, weak, struggles to create space , and that hitch in his jumper is glaring. he was shooting 24% from 3 in our last 19 games going into tonight and I think he was 1-9 tonight

At least you're man enough to admit it.

Is "Lillard would have had easily a triple double if the teammates had Made more shots" or "Lillard would had easily a triple double if the teammates had Made more shots" grammatically correct ?? Thank you

I'd say the first one, but I would put "easily" after "triple double"

Aber Englisch ist nicht meine Muttersprache, darum ist es vielleicht unrichtig

Even the team knows that was a special performance.
With Dame playing at that level (40 at the half) exactly how could Stotts pull him and tell him "Nah your minutes are too high".
It's like people are not even thinking? The entire Rose Garden crowd would have walked out of there and never came back.
When a Player is playing at a record pace everyone knows it.

This is a great point.
But the fact is he did use it and defenses did adjust to it. It is literally the second line on his scouting report.

The first one. I would say your placement of “easily” is probably correct but awkward. These are all possible and sound better to me:
Lillard easily would have had a triple double...
Lillard would easily have had a triple double...
Lillard would have had a triple double easily...

What should they be doing, realistically? Tanking? With this much of the season left and possibly having Nurkic and Collins coming back and potentially being able to trade Hassan for another key piece?
thats whats depressing. Nothing to do but wait.

WOW

What a performance by Lillard last night. That's what a superstar does and the look on Curry's face after several of those shots tells you the respect the guy has around the league. Glad to have him on our team as he is an ultimate pro that refuses to give up.

If CJ recovers from his sprained ankle, the team is better than what played last night. If Nurk returns at all, the team is better than what played last night. If the trade gets completed today and Ariza and a couple of big bodies are available, the team is better than what played last night. If either Collins or Skal is able to return, the team is better than what played last night. If Olshey makes another trade, the team is likely better than what played last night. I feel fairly confident that the team will be better than what played last night. But, of course, an asteroid might hit the planet and wipe out all life, so you do have reason for pessimism.

I think I'm coming around to the idea that this Lillard kid may turn out to be pretty good...

I've been a fan since the beginning. I've seen everyone from Petrie to Wicks to Walton to Pax to Glide and on and on and on and on. Regardless of Championships (Big Bill) or Finals appearances (Clyde), we are seeing the greatest player to ever put on a Blazer uniform in his prime. Not just the best player, but the best leader. Period.

Enjoy the moment.

Yeah. You could see Curry was wanting to be out there while that was happening.

Dame has been carrying you for 7 yrs now. Do your job, Terry.
