Of these 2 hypotheticals, which would you rather choose for the Blazers this season?

  • Total voters
    55
  • Poll closed .
I just don't see them making a run this year. I'm starting to feel like moving Whiteside for future development would be the best move.
Hope they play hard and play to win but to me it's time to develop and maybe get something rolling well for next season.

Am I not getting the poll question ? Why would you you guy want a worst pick AND getting swept by the Lakers ? I know they say two negatives make a positive but I'm just not seeing it right here.....
I like watching playoff basketball against the best teams and players. If the poll said all four games were blowouts, I might not choose that option, or if we were swept by the Pelicans again, or if Lebron James weren't playing, but I would not give up watching four hotly contested games involving the best all-around player maybe ever to play for 3 spots better in the middle if the draft.

That's similar to a Pacer fan not wanting to watch Michael Jordan late in his Chicago days sweep their team to get 3 spots better for the Pacers in the middle of the next draft. If you are attending the games I think that would be nuts.

if Brown was on the floor for 23 min, we would have lost by 30. Stotts kept him in for 2 min one game and pulled him cause he was lost. he also was in for 1 min another game and looked like he didn't know what a basketball was. any coach would have pulled him with the same quickness.
But if Brown was on the floor for 23 minutes, chances are he will be improving. I don't think Swanigan has any upside.

yeah, I think the poll question is too limited

Portland is currently 12th in the lottery, not 14th. And the biggest difference between the 12th and the 17th picks is that the 12th pick has a 7.2% chance of being a top-4 pick; the 17th pick has a 0% chance. And with Portland's schedule, by the time the deadline rolls around, the Blazers could be 9th or 10th in the lottery. The 9th pick has a 20.2% chance of being top-4; the 8th pick has a 26.2% chance of top-4; the 7th pick has a 32% chance of being top-4

those odds are starting to look better than any of the odds of Portland adding some contract ballast for Whiteside and making some team-altering trade next season. It's long shots all the way around, but 7 years of control over a rookie deal is attractive

Time to bump my TANK thread. Anybody thinking we can make the playoffs is crazy!

OK, lady ducks have beat beavers (#7) for second time this weekend. Looks like men ducks are going to beat UCLA easily. Blazers, let's make it an Oregon trifecta!

That's a crap poll you've got there.

Why do you hate The Blazers? :dunno:

This might be a very tough game to watch and play for all involved.

But the Beavers are in Oregon too.

Wenyens gonna honor Kobe and drop 81 tonight heard it here first.

For us to make the playoffs it will be how these nexts 8-9 before the all start game. These games to me will either sink us or will be right there to battle for that 8 spot.

Will our game air on NBATV??? They’re just talking about Kobe.

Too bad HCP isn't here; I'm sure he would have noticed that we always play teams with their best guys missing.....

Both teams taking 24 second violations. Standing ovation by the crowd.
