Before it was announced, did you think Lillard would be voted in as an All-Star reserve?

I'm sticking with 39 but I like our guts.
I think we could do something similar to what Utah did last year after the all-star break. Except we have more offensive talent. This year though, the west is weaker.

Wes lucked out, he'll never have to worry again for sure..70 mil is a lot of scratch

I knew that word cause I lived in Canada and had to get my boner pills.
My father in law overseas used to ask me to get those for him, he was 93 at the time. I'd say...you aren't afraid of a heart attack trying to have sex and he'd answer...sex? Hell no I just don't want to fall out of bed at night!

Wes's signature shot was his step back 3 on the right side of the court.

That shit was money!

It amazed me how he would drain that over anyone; even over much taller players, and great defenders.

That was one of the best shots in basketball. When I say that I mean; you know it's coming and there's not a damn thing you can do about it. Portland has had a few players lately that have shots like that... Dame's hesitation step-back, Wes' hop-step back, LMA's turnaround... I'm hoping CJ develops one of those shots. Maybe a Tony Parker-esque floater?

He already has that floater.

He already has that floater.
except he doesn't finish it yet... CJ's numbers inside the midrange are a complete disaster. If he's going to make the leap from damn good player to superstar/all star- that's where it's going to come from.

Guess it would be a good idea to mention I'm working on the CJ McCollum profile for the write up & podcast this week ;-)

To illustrate- see below (light blue = bad, dark blue = good)

CJ said in an interview that he's trying to add the floater to his game..work in progress...his court vision seems to fade when he gets in amongst the trees sometimes. Sadly, I watched Ginobli against the Cavs last night and he could not finish any of his circus shot layups or drives...he's just not explosive anymore. CJ could improve that aspect of his game. I'm just happy his assist numbers are up from before

The floater is way overrated. I think it has a higher degree of difficulty than a pull-up jumper at the free throw line, or whatever short-range shot you can get in the seam. (which CJ is great at) The sheep mentality has made the floater a go-to shot because a few guys (Parker) can actually make it. I'd rather see the Oscar Robertson, Nate Archibald, etc. concept of starting to drive, get the guy off-balance, make the jumper inside the free throw line. CJ could make a living at that.
