That's EXACTLY the mentality they need to have. If we lose, we're still up 3-2 and are headed home. The kid is shaken up now, now we need to take advantage!!!
 
Staal has struggled the past few games. He was bad game 4 also. He got off to a great start in the playoffs, but now not so much. Speed hurts him I think, and that's Pitt and Montreal.
 
And now good night. Not sure Talbot made a save. That comeback was nice, but all a tease.

We haven't sniffed a shot in this period. We were just way off our game in this one. Actually a plus for game 6. AV will have a lot to pound on after this awful performance.
 
That's the game. Came out flat to start the period, almost as if they were figuring that they'll still have a series lead even if they lose. Unreal by this team to come out flat like this to start the third period.
 
i will be a better rangers fan when there is no girardi & staal on this team

We got back into it because their D and goalie weren't that much better, which again I view as a positive for game 6. After this "effort" by us I have to figure we are sitting on a big game 6.
 
Bad news pasta, Girardi is signed for 5 years. I guess you leave until he is gone? Or do you stick around despite Girardi?
 
When Rene Bourque scores a hat trick on you, you deserve to lose.

9 goals all regular season. He might match that this game alone.

Only 16 shots on goal. That's the killer. Certainly didn't see 6 goals coming tonight.
 
Inexcusable to be as flat as we were all night, minus 5 minutes where we played like we had all series long and pushed the play. Instead for most of this game we've been tentative, scared to make a play. And we stopped shooting on the kid. Even if we lose tonight, we need to score at least one more on this kid.
 
Can we get some effin shots on goal please? Almost 8 minutes into the third and zero shots. I said to my buddy as the game started "This looks like one of those games we get 19 shots all damn game," and we're about on pace for that, despite the 4 goals.
 
Yeah, we just didn't play well at all tonight. I think that is a benefit for game 6. How could we not play MUCH better. I expect a good effort and a win in game 6.

And there goes the 5 on 3. Comical. What a terrible performance tonight.

We killed almost the whole 5 on 3 ourselves.
