I don’t watch much college basketball. If you were to go back into the last 10 years Mock Draft threads, you will never see me post. I’ve rarely had opinions on colleges players. I watch the NBA.C'mon man, that's a bit of a cop out. Omari Spellman was the starting big man for the NCAA Champs last year and a 1st round pick. Once again, if you don't know him you probably don't follow basketball very closely. Kevin Huerter played in the ACC for Maryland and was the 19th pick in this past draft. The Blazers had the 24th pick so people who follow basketball would have known him as a potential pick for the Blazers heading into that draft.

But other than the really good teams like the Warriors, I'm guessing you don't know a bunch of players on every roster, right? That's totally normal, especially for fans who mostly only watch the Blazers.Interesting response.
My wife would say i follow basketball pretty close. Certainly the Blazers. I guess you would say i don't follow basketball very closely. I have heard of Spellman and i even think i watched him play in the tourney. i kind of remember him getting drafted but i would not have been able to tell you by what team?
This is just interesting to me. Not a knock on anyone or their understanding of the game.
I honestly think I could name the team that every player plays on (except for two-way players, but I could get a few of those). Could probably name 75% of their colleges/countries too.But other than the really good teams like the Warriors, I'm guessing you don't know a bunch of players on every roster, right? My point is if you are into the rest of the NBA, college basketball, and/or the draft these guys aren't no names.
a lot of NBA fans pay no attention to college hoops or even the draft other than their own team...I'm one...I couldn't tell you who the top 10 picks were last draft without looking it up.....then a guy like Doncic shows up and you know who he is first yearC'mon man, that's a bit of a cop out. I was happy when Atlanta took him at 19 and when the Bucks took Divencenzo a couple picks earlier because I was worried Olshey would take either one if available.Funny you mention Huerter and the draft. If I remember my own thoughts correctly, he was the only guy I actively did not want. But that might’ve been a superficial thing because boy looks rough.

Huerter has had some injuries but he's also put up a few pretty nice looking stat lines over the last couple weeks. I didn't think he had the playmaking ability he's starting to show. Some of that is probably the high pace Atlanta plays at.
Same.Yeah I like Huerter after seeing him in the league. Atlanta has a nice young core, but I can’t get over them passing on Doncic.
Awesome. It won't matter how much rest we have upcoming if Dame pulls something in THIS game. He and Nurk and CJ have been working like mad the past few weeks. This was long overdue. This is when overuse, stress injuries happen. That makes no sense to do that now instead of sometime over the last couple weeks with our upcoming schedule the way it is.
Oh god he's being traded to the Lakers.
Maybe they are trying to boost CJ's trade value?
Yes, I get that but shouldn't his rest day have been the OKC game then after tweaking his elbow the night before on a back-to-back?Awesome. Maybe they wanted to try to win that game since at the time it was for third in the west, but also since same division/conference a win would've helped with tiebreakers in the event they needed it. They probably also feel like they can beat the Hawks without him.Yes, I get that but shouldn't his rest day have been the OKC game then after tweaking his elbow the night before on a back-to-back?
Dont know where else to post this. Would love to go to tonight's game if someone has a spare ticket to donate. Don't usually get weekend nights free. If not, have a great time everyone!
If they are resting him so he doesn't get overused the timing of that decision is way more important than the opponent though.Maybe they wanted to try to win that game since at the time it was for third in the west, but also since same division/conference a win would've helped with tiebreakers in the event they needed it. Yes it should have been. I posted the same thing here. Take the L and rest everyone. But I think Terry wanted to go for that win. This one should be manageable without Dame as isYes, I get that but shouldn't his rest day have been the OKC game then after tweaking his elbow the night before on a back-to-back?
I think that's a dangerous game when you start resting versus certain opponents instead of what's best physically and medically.Yes it should have been. I posted the same thing here. Sounds goodJake for 25+ points tonight
