Are Dame and Mitchell on opposite sides for the all-star game? If so, it might get interesting.

It might even be more interesting if they're on the same sides.

Yo that is bullshit I thought they could review goaltending in the last 2 minutes?

All these freaking rule changes and still having to deal with BULLSHIT like this means that the changes haven’t solved the problem.

Keep in mind the changes came that season LMA got called for goaltending against the (spurs?) when it wasn’t - costing us the game.
It was February 6, 2012.
With about six seconds left to go in the 4th quarter, LaMarcus Aldridge was called for goaltending Kevin Durant's shot. The Trail Blazers ended up losing to Oklahoma City in overtime. The Blazers were ahead by two points so that call more likely cost the Blazers the game than the one in Utah. But that one was much closer.

No, Scott Foster's.
It's not often that I agree with what you say. This one though, I am behind you 100%. I do not care what anyone says. The NBA is a money making business. Although the reffing association is a seperate entity, they ultimatly make their money off of Silver. They are rotten, crooked fucks. Period. It's all about the money. Don't believe me? Just ask Tim Donaghy. Shitty people like Scott Foster need to be Jeff Gillooly'd....

It is so much fun to read your posts as hugh Laurie.

Rudy Gobert should not be an All-Star. Hassan dominated the matchup last week in Portland and in a game that featured no Blazer taller than 6'9", he had no impact on the game whatsoever.

The Jazz cashed in all their chips on Conley and are still gonna get bounced outta the first round.
Blazers might not even make the 1st round. Not sure they deserve a second all star. Rudy does deserve to be an allstar.

This game stung us. So close and no victory.

Also Ariza has to be smarter than to get ejected with 8 healthy players ffs

Jazz cheat to win.
Jazz boast about winning.
Dame tells me truth.
Dame gets fined.
Refs ( jury) ignore facts.

Damn, is this sports or politics? Am I watching ESPN or MSNBC?

It's this kind of BS that is infuriating. This wasn't even a bang bang play. My gf who doesn't really know basketball called that as soon as it happend. If she can see it on a TV from a camera up in the 200 level, you'd think a ref 4' from the play might be able to get it right. It's an exposed play, not like it is bumping going on down low that might be obscured.

Well that sucked, but the team has a lot to be proud of as they literally played their guts out and put themselves in a position to win a game they had no business being in. If anything comes good from the blown call is they hopefully re-evaluate how the replays are used on a coaches challenge. No reason why that can't be a reviewable situation.

A ref who is trained and specifically looking for that very part of a play.
I miss things all the time. I watch a replay and see the ref was right there and got the right call. This play was on the ball and the player at the rim. All three refs should have been looking at specific issues in particular on this play the "Lead Official" should be watching the lane. He also should have seen not only the goaltend but the foul on Lillard during the shot. A whistle should have been blown.
I can understand if the center official didn't see it at that point because it was a crowded area and he might have been watching off ball movement? But at that point the play was high enough and open enough for everyone to get a view.
Now the Trail Official is the one who really missed this call. This is his area of concern. As soon as there was not a three point shot taken he specifically watches the ball to determine if goaltending or basket interference occurs during when the ball is in the air. The Lead official watches the players but the trail watches the ball.
Without a doubt a whistle should have been blown. I have watched the replay a number of times. Both the lead and trail refs were in position and watching the play. How they missed it is i just don't know?
