Also, he likely doesnt develop the same if we draft him. Miami gave him opportunity and gave him responsibility as a playmaker and he developed into one. He likely doesnt get that same opportunity or responsibility here.

The potential was huge though. I remember a lot of Blazer fans not wanting to draft him either. I was not one of those.

At this point, if you’re an opposing coach and you don’t blitz and trap Dame all game, you should be fired.

I'm trying to think of something positive. Nurk was not seriously hurt. Generally, Nurk is playing good defense. A few more games with Nurk and Powell working with the rest of the team could lead to some improvement. On the other hand I can see that a team like Miami has players who are in better shape than us and I believe they practice harder and longer.
