This is full of contradictions. lol

yes, I just didn't want him to come back and say "the blazers proved last year they can win a series without HCA."

bottom line is.. if the Blazers lose out on HCA or the division.. You can point to losses like these as to why and where they need to improve.

What about all our wins? You only judge us by our losses? We have the 3rd best record in the most competitive Western Conference ever.

I don't know, they may not be as good as I think they are. But to me, they should be up there close to Golden State. Or they could be. If they handled their business differently.

I'm seriously impressed that this was our worst loss all year. Is there any other team in the NBA that hasn't lost by more than 16? Fuck, the Hawks just lost by 25 at home!!

Because we lost a game to Utah in February without our new players or Joel Freeland? What about the good wins we had? Like the one in Houston?

And the loss to Minnesota earlier in the year, the loss to Boston, Sacramento and a 2-8 record over 10 games and now .500 on the road, 14-14 record against .500+ teams...

Granted, only 2 teams in the western conference have winning records against .500 record teams (and imho, the only two, but they're the two who have a shot at the title) but it's not just tonights loss. It's a track record.

Why don't you turn into Teen Wolf and help the team, this squad is really struggling right now.
We were 4-1 (should be 5-0) this month before this game, and that's when Lopez came back. Struggling? This game, yes. But we've been better this month than late December and all of January. I'll start to worry if the next two home games we get blown out again and don't get the new guys involved. Still a lot of season left.

Golden State hasn't had as many injuries as us. They've had Bogut out. But we've had Lopez and Frelland and Aldridge and Batum out for a lot of games. Everyone's coming back now, though, and we're adding two new very talented players. And Houston lost tonight too. In the overall scheme of things, this loss means nothing. We were a little rusty, Utah had a good game plan and then they rained threes in the 4th and we couldn't keep up. It happens. We have three home games against playoff teams coming up. And we'll have our full roster. Let's see how they do. A 39-18 record going into March would be great.

Adam Bjarnson said it perfectly. It was a 'winnable' game.

So why didn't they?

Oh I think they are very capable. I want them to show it on the court. Instead of fooling around with it.

4 games. We've lost only FOUR games to sub 500 teams. All year. That is incredible.

Our track record says we have the third best record in the West. You're only looking at losses and are ignoring the wins.

Isn't every game "winnable"? You win some, you lose some. And you move on. Just like the Dallas game, let's forget about it and focus on Memphis.

Utah got hot. What are you gonna do? That's why the playoffs are Best of 7. You're allowed to recover from a fluke loss and still win the series. We would win a series against Utah and that's all that matters about any team we play.

For a team as good as ours, every game is winnable. Let's give Afflalo and Gee a few weeks to jell with our team before passing judgement on our title chances. Our bench was AWFUL tonight. The news guys couldn't come at a more perfect time. When is Freeland back? Our record with him is incredibly good.

Home court advantage does matter in the playoffs. Losing games like this obviously doesn't help that cause. And really I don't think they should have. Losing one maybe two of these a year is acceptable. But as Julius just showed. They've lost more that. It's going to kill them in the end.

Boring game. The Blazers looked like they wanted to take a nap. Should have been rested for the break. Don't pull out any break excuses because the Jazz just came off the break too. Getting wiped out by a bad team....can safetly call this the worst performance of the year.

Jazz were at home and they caught fire in the fourth quarter. Nothing to be too upset about. In June, you won't care about this game.

FOUR. We've lost 4 games to sub500 teams and one of the teams was above 500 when we played them. We have the third best record in the West right now so that gives us HCA in the first round. We're a good road team in the playoffs though. We went 2-1 in Houston last year. And Houston owned us during regular season. We'll be fine. No one can guard Aldridge in the playoffs and he'll have better teammates this year.

I don't think seeding or home court means anything to this team. There is a slight danger of missing the playoffs though.

Well fans, I'm going to miss my first game of the season tonight. Son bought me tickets to the Globetrotters and I'll be there whistling Sweet Georgia Brown! Go Blazers!

Hope sweet Georgia was worth it!

The Blazers should watch Teen Wolf on the flight to Memphis and get inspired.

Hmmm. Blazers make a trade that is widely applauded, and the team responds with an horrific tank job. We just got a peek behind the curtain of the Blazers' locker room...and I can't say I like what I see.

Only way we miss playoffs is if the Suns or Pelicans pass us. Do you REALLY see that happening?

Even if we play .500 ball the rest of the year, OKC has to play near .700 to catch us, so missing is highly unlikely. However, any of the 8 teams can get home court right now. We just have the best chance because of our lead in the division.

Probably not with those trades and the Davis injury. But Portland needs to pick it up or they'll get swept out of the playoffs.
