Rempe has regressed a lot. Unless there was a goon on the other team, I wouldn’t even play him.

Perfect way to head into the break, losers of 4 straight, 2-8 in their last 10.

As we head into the Olympic break, the Rangers are 3rd worst in points %, only 1 point ahead of the Blues for 2nd worst in the league. Bottom 6 worst case looks solid; they are 8 points behind the 7th worst team the Devils.

Ideally, I'd like to see them finish 2nd worst in the NHL, they are not catching Vancouver for worst. Worst case I want to see them finish in the bottom 3 or 4 going into the draft lottery, then you hope the ping pong balls bounce your way.

Take a nice break, come back and continue to lose lose lose. I'm sure they'll also trade Trocheck, Schneider, Carrick, and maybe Lafreniere shortly after they return from the break.

Tank Tank Tank!!!

Felony charges dropped, misdemeanor charges still moving forward. Sounds like he got into a fight at a bar after the Penn State outdoor game in Beaver Stadium, he allegedly punched some guy twice and fractured his jaw. Not smart given McKenna's high profile and future potential, maybe this means he's a tough SOB, who knows.

The District Attorney's Office said that while the aggravated assault charge has been dropped -- which could have earned McKenna a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison per Pennsylvania state law -- prosecution will go forward with misdemeanor simple assault and other summary charges "as they relate to the serious injuries suffered by the victim." McKenna has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Wednesday.

Who gives a fuck? The Islanders got the first pick when they were nowhere near the worst record. It betters your odds to keep losing but we’ve seen what happens in the lottery more often than not. Also, how did picks one and two work out for the last time?

Very fair, you never know how the ping pong balls will bounce, you also never know how picks 1 or 2 etc. will pan out. With all that being said, I still prefer to be set up in the best position possible and go from there, especially when winning now means absolutely nothing. To me you might as well lose and set yourself up with the best odds/in the best potential position.

As you wrote though, it may not matter/doesn't guarantee anything, big picture I agree with that POV.
