He probably will. And we also probably won't see a 4th quarter as dominant as that one. And @TBpup and others will say that there is a solid connection between those occurrences.

Why? We have had more dominant 4th quarters than last night in the past so I would expect some more in the future.

^^^ Not one thing in there about being a McCollum hater and also even mentioned that it would "be a stretch". Just pointed out a couple of "much too small of a sample size" occurrences and called them interesting. Overreact much?

Your history speaks volumes. If you don't want to own it then don't say it or insinuate it.

As for overreacting, I think a glance in the mirror should be in order as I'm not the one whining after every loss and complaining about a player, coach or GM on a daily basis like some of you. I'm not a fan of eating crow like some of you apparently are.

Do your best to ignore the troll.

He’s more subtle than other trolls, but he’s basically Olshey’s intern.

Not against the Warriors

and your post is pure bull shit. Forgive me for liking the Blazers and not spending all day whining about everything Blazer related.

Wasn't just the 4th but a couple years ago we gave GS a pretty epic beat down. What was crazy about last night was the roll the bench unit got on, that was probably the best the Blazers bench has played on both ends of the court in recent memory. I think correlation does not equal causation as the saying goes and I don't really think the 4th quarter had much to do with CJ or Nurk not really playing in the 4th and more to do with the bench unit just getting on a major roll and Stotts letting them ride the wave.

That's where the rule should probably be reinterpreted.

An airborne shooter is allowed to jump in any direction. The defender must remain legal (jumping straight up in his vertical plane). The offensive player definitely has an advantage there.

They've tried to clean it up by making sure a player is actually in his shooting motion. This has had mixed results.

My thoughts are that this will be a hard one to change without having unintended consequences.
I agree about an airborne shooter, but what I've been talking about this whole time is when they pump fake and never get airborne and then use their body to draw contact. That could be easily cleaned up and was a couple years ago before they inexplicably stopped making it a no call.

Not as good as this game or 4th quarter.

It was a beautiful game. We are trying to bask in it. You should bask in it too, instead of going on the attack.

I am enjoying it. I love every win. Tired of the two face posters that are basically nothing but yoyo's going up and down. Also, you're nit picking on the game that I posted as it was clearly a dominant 4th quarter in that game as well and it's pretty stupid to single out McCollum as the reason we had a dominant 4th last night as most of the starters were sitting including Lillard for a longer than normal time.

In a period of 4 days, we went from being outscored by Dallas by 15 in the fourth quarter to outscoring Golden State by 23 in the fourth quarter last night.

This team confuses the hell out of me.

It's called NBA basketball and has been happening for years. It has nothing to do with the Blazers.

The Curry example was a perfect one last night as he got the defender off his feet and the defender landed without touching Curry and contact was only made after Curry clearly unnaturally jumped forward in his shot to initiate the contact. I would call those offensive fouls. They made changes with the gather this year and a couple years ago they were able to change the rule with the Durant/Harden sweep with the arms before shooting. Seems this would be easy to implement.

All in all, that was a super fun game for us Blazer fans. Was nice to see GS unravel as they did. It doesn't matter that GS doesn't really care about the regular season, it was just nice to get a win.
There are plenty of other threads we could argue about, Stotts, CJ, Neil. I can understand finding it interesting how little the Starters played in the 4th. Just happy to get a win.

Beating the overly smug Warriors is always great, especially when they unraveled like they did.

The bench played well in the 4th. Although other than Jake you would never know it by looking at the box score.
other than their +/- numbers.

Haven't read the thread. Just had to say that I thought the game turned on Zach's blocked shot where he had to get his ass off the floor and run the length of the court to stuff whoever the fuck that was at the rim. That was the defining moment of the game. And that's why some of us think Zach could be a very important part of our future success.

Also, anybody got pics of Dame's shoes? I'd like to see what those look like up close.

It was funny that Zach was basically doing Draymond Green things to them. Blazers kind of need more of that at times.

That's what made it so sweet as we beat them at their game and it caused them to come unglued. GS will still be the favorites this year, but there is definitely more vulnerability than in years past as that team isn't near as unified as they have been in the past. I also think Durant will be gone at the end of this year.

Oh boy i was reading the GS fan thread. You gotta read some of these....
It’s pretty sad how champs can’t get calls in this league

Collins is a prick

Dubs will remember you Zach Collins
Straight nobody.

I think he assumed people watching the game are well aware that Draymond runs his mouth
and was just informing the audience about Collins also, because no one outside of the people who watch the Blazers knows who the hell he is.

(AHHH YOU DO NOW!)

Of course the end point for most of them is that the game was meaningless in the end and they will sweep the Blazers in the playoffs. We will see now won't we?

Were those the worst quotes? There are more insulting quotes about Blazer players in this thread. From Blazer fans.

I'm not the one nitpicking. I simply posted that the Blazers haven't had a 4th quarter as good as last nights against the champs. You responded with a boxscore of a near comparable, but not as good game, where the Blazers had a damned good quarter yes, but not as good as last nights. I offered a point that you couldn't refute. Beating the champs by 22 with a 35-12 4th quarter, including a 8 point possession is an amazing feat. I can't remember the bench playing at such a level against their starters.

There is nothing wrong with having a discussion about CJ. This is a forum. It is what is done here.

It was an enjoyable win considering the Warriors condescending attitude for the first 3 quarters. Kerr went from smug to ballistic in about 10 minutes.
I do think his ejection was very much intentional and a calculated risk. At the time I was worried it would work for him, but the fact it turned into a 8 point play erased that.

It does irritate me that EPSN told one story and not the whole story. Green could have been T'd up a few times in the game. They got most of the calls in the first 3 quarters and were still crying continually....and why wouldn't they..it usually works. This felt like it would happened again going into the 4th.....until it didn't.
