Our beach score 46 points tonight. I don't mind what there trying to play defense but they got tweak how far your center goes out from the basket. CJ needs to learn he not going do anything by floating down toward the basket and leaving the corner open. Our 2 guards shot 48 times and some wasn't good shots. In my opinion and a lot you guys don't care for how fouls but Zach going be miss. But 3-3 road trip I will take it due I thought we would go 2-4.

x's and o's guys, help me out here: Stotts said he was changing the defense to essentially challenge the ball more aggressively on PnR. I saw a little of that in the first game or two, but have I missed that in the last 3 or 4 games because it looks like the same clusterfuck defense Portland had last year
He tried it for like 2 games in the preaseason and gave up. He likes this better.

Blazers had a 39% assisted FG rate in this game. Coming in to the game they were at 57%. When the going gets tough, the Blazers go one-on-one and it's often ugly like tonight

62 points on 31 FGA, a 2 to 1 ratio. Basketball-Reference used to have a multiplication function which let me rank such ratios in history, but no more.

Wonder what our defensive efficiency is after tonight.

I don't know. It's been a little confusing. Right before pre-season Stotts said they would not play zone defense because they didn't have time to learn it. Then in the first game we played 20 minutes of it, but never since. Then he said they would have a multi-prong defense with all kinds of variations. (Somehow team would learn this even though there was no time to practice a simple zone). Then both players and Stotts started saying we would stick mostly with our old defense and just play new defense (whatever it is) occasionally. We brought in a special defensive consultant who apparently only consulted with the coaches not the players. We don't even know if he was allowed to watch the players. We do know that he was apparently not allowed to talk with the press. That's about all I know....

He was absolutely on fire. When he is shooting like that being in the game with 2 mins left was a good game.

BBRef kind of sucks since they put up the pay wall

If your assessment is true that we changed from a new defense back to our old defense after the 2nd game:

Games 1-2: 123ppg allowed
Games 3-6: 117.5ppg allowed

I think this is fairly accurate. Opposite true for us on offense.
Yeah there was a point inside of 3-4 mins left down by 9 and Dame missed consecutive wide open looks from 3 and Kanter missed a free throw. They could have made this a barn burner.

Stotts is in his ways how he coaches and he not going to change. I am going till the only way Stotts gets fire is that we miss the playoffs altogether but as long he makes the playoffs I think remainds here. I am not wishing bad season but that's how I see it with Stotts.
