Agree. They set the tone by allowing the Warriors to play physical and Portland to get whistled for any nudge of contact. Looking for inconsistencies, look no further than how the screen setting was called tonight. Looney and Green repeatedly either moved or lowered the shoulder to get Curry open and it was allowed all night. Portland got called a few times out top. Cov and DJ were taken out of the game by a few poor whistles, none worse than Curry falling to the ground on a 3 pt attempt as Jones' foot made minor contact with his chest after the ball had hit the side of the backboard. Dame getting whistled for a foul on Lee's 3pt attempt after ducking out of the way was equally inexcusable.BTW the Refs sucked this game. Many horrible and inconsistent calls.
To be clear I am not blaming the loss on the refs, just that I thought they were the worst crew so far this season. And you wouldn't know it by listening to the Warrior announcers.
Oh boy will this comment age well.
Let me double down
NURKIC IS EXTREMELY OVERRATED. One of the softest big men in the league. Trash
yeah with nurkic he was like “you would have to ask him” like the coach doesn’t know his players conditioningStotts said something along the lines "In the first half, our bigs were up and Steph was scoring, when we doubled, he split the double team and they scored, we tried a lot of different things."
Is that true or not?
He also dodged a question about Nurk being in shape... basically implying he's not in shape.

Not yet ready to blow his player up in the media. Seems like there's a fine line in protecting players and using public call-outs to motivate them.
Re: The Poll Question: CJ is the third highest scoring player in the West so.... All Star? Yes.
They'll both make it. Easily. Name 6 better guards in the West. The key word being "better." Don't just list a bunch of guards from the West. Not only will CJ not play one minute in the all-star game this year, neither will Dame!
Yep.Curry fucking got hot and beat us. It happens.....shit Dame has single handedly beat teams by himself in the same manner. I saw about 8 easy ass blown buckets for us.....guys were NOT hitting tonight. GT played like shit. A lot of reasons. But I will NEVER blame the refs for a loss.....that’s middle school shit right there. 10 of 12 at home coming up. Pretty much on pace for the 5th place team out west.
The refs don't bet on games in middle school like they do in the NBA. Or maybe they do, I dunno.Curry fucking got hot and beat us. Doubtful. We should comfortably be a Top 6 seed. No one will care about this game in May.1. Curry just prooved Lillard's point. 50+ points from star player and you can beat every team. It just shows that apart of Lillard and Ninja, for last few seasons, Blazers were GLeague team. Curry can win with performance like this the same way Lillard did many times. GS is not going thru 1st round even if Curry will be MVP of regular.
2. Another game that we will be going to look back at in few months in crazy run for play-in chance.
Nothing new here.
The thing is i feel Steph Curry is one of if not the best shooter in the league. He has proved it time and time again and on nights like last night he is going to beat you. So handing him 20 at the line and then him taking 30+ shots that defender is gonna work hard. Just the trips to the line is going to put a guy in foul trouble.I'm totally fine with the theory that Steph scored 60 on crazy shots. If that's the case, you should be happy with a defense that forced a guy into taking 31 shots, many of which were crazy. If you're not, then being a primary defender on a guy who scored 60 and scoring 7 in 31 mintes, can't be a success.
Here is three different looks at what Curry was doing. He was on fire.Dame was supposed to step up and take Steph on defense. This is the next step in the evolution of his game: stop hiding on defense and take the toughest one-on-one assignments.
To be expected.Let me double down

If you find a bigger taller 2 guard that actually play D and average 16 points a game. But what getting to is in the 1st unit the only one is shooting is Dame and CJ the other players not involved at all. If you split them the other has to be involved in the offense to be successful they has a unit. You remember couple years ago when CJ and Nurk went down that when the offense really work because Dame needed the other players had to be involved. Right now we got 2 guys trying find there shots and barley getting the other 3 involved. I due blame some of that in Stotts because he has no player movement in his offense and ball movement is basically throw the ball to the high post and have either Dame or CJ run around the person and hand off to them and then go iso and that's basically 95 percent of there offense. So basically the whole offense is get Dame and CJ looks and yes both of them can score the ball but it's not championship basketball matter fact it's not very good basketball. I am not even going go into the defense side that's another story.I agree with a lot of what you said. Without a big change, to expect a different result is crazy.
CJ, making $35m coming off the bench would likely mean we're playing a below average vet or inexperienced player at SG. I'm not sure that will incrase our chances to make the finals.
They got within 9 points the majority of the time they was down from 14 to 20 points that 2nd half so really they wasn't in the game at the end.You see i just don't get this kind of comment?
The Team was in the game until a minute left. Curry was on an absolute tear. When any player on any team is shooting lights out even well defended it's tough to win. The Blazers just humiliated them two night ago.
Stotts made subs and decisions to play players that kept them within reach until the very end. At some point you win some you lose some?
So tell me what CJ going to do sliding down in the paint? He’s covering for the fact the Melo is completely hopeless in a pick and roll. You don’t want to give a wide open lane.
