The people shiting on lillards shooting are the same type of dorks that would discredit Allen Iversons career because of his poor metrics and percentages. Most of Lillards shots are good shots. Yes he takes 30 footers, but he's proven he can make it. The only time people complain about it is when he misses. Very rarely does Lillard put up selfish shots, and if he were surrounded by better talent (or better shooters) he could easily rank among the league leaders in assists. He makes everyone around him better. We overachieve pretty much every season and he's the main reason why. Fuck outta here.

I guess if your happy with around 42 wins every season, sure

ugh, this was such an ugly game, but win is a win, win as many as you can while not playing as good as you can... Nurk had shocking 1st half with shot 1/7, but he was very good in the 2nd half on both ends of the floor, especially at the end of the 4th quarter with some great, decisive defense... he went 5/7 in the 2nd half

17/9/2 sounds great, but on 15 shot attempts, he should have like 25 pts, something like 10/15 or 9/15

hes still finding himself, cant play the whole game great so far, only one half, but thats encouraging, I mean, after shocking 1st half, he got his shit together and had very good 2nd half... Dame, CJ and Nurk, all not playing at their best so far this season, they all struggling, Dame and CJ threes just dont falling down as expected

Pat C was great of the bench, Davis too, Turner had some TO in the 4th quarter, but he got his shit together and pulled some great plays... our defenseisnt looking as good as so far, hopefully theyre not regressing to the last season level of defense

Guys, just stop it... Every year the same things... We wait for the month in which Lillard shot fall and we use that month as a proof that we are contender, it just doesn't work like this.

It doesn't work that way. It's a whole different set of challenges against a different team. You can't transfer effort between two opponents.
Uh... What?

If we gave the same effort against a slightly better (yet still bad) team, we would've lost.

Nice grammar buddy. You don't know what you're talking about, so stop trying to pretend, we're not fooled.

Lillard's 3pt shot has not been bad this year. He's actually shooting above his career average. Where he's been really bad is in 2 point range. He's shooting under 37%. The biggest dip is right at the rim, where he's converting a pathetic 42%. It's not like he's blowing easy shots, he's forcing stuff up.

Also, I don't buy the "he doesn't have enough talent" argument. This year Aminu has been hitting 3s at 52%, Harkless 33. Those percentages from 3 are much better than 42% from 2, when you're forcing up bad shots.

You were probably one of those posters who defended LaMarcus constant turn around fade away jump shots right? That wore thin on Spurs fans real quick because they obviously understand what good basketball is, what a good shot is.

Our big 3 is playing meh and we're 4-2 with both losses going down to the final possession :dunno:
But only 2 of our wins were convincing. Yeah, we could easily be 6-0, we could easily be 2-4. I think we should be able to tell by watching the team about how many wins this quality of play will generate. And right now we're playing .500 ball.

We played Phoenix, the worst team in the league, twice
The Pacers who are in tanking mode without their best player
The Pelicans without their best player

I'm surprised your internet allowed you in here after a win.

We nearly lost against the worst team in the league with half our payroll and full of teenagers, what should I be excited about?

Every year Blazers fans use cliché like "we won even if we played poorly" but at the end of the season the story is always the same: blowout loss in the playoffs.

How are you not fucking tired of this?
You know what's funny? If we were a better team I'm sure you would begging me to stop praising our players because when it's due I'm the first to say it, I'm even cocky at times when I know that my team is better than the others.

But given our situation there's no room for that, we're a fucking mediocre team.

And no, I can't start rooting for the Warriors, I'm not a bandwagon fan, but that doesn't mean I can't be realist about our team.

Some fans clearly aren't wanting anything better. They are happy with being a mediocre team and cheering them on like PollyAnna. Not that that's bad thing, if you're content with that, great.

You're team can't be good all the time, but we haven't contended in 17 years, and it would be nice to at least have a top 10 team.

TOo early.. I wanna see if we win against raptors, what would be the "excuse". Win is win. 4-2 without a big perfomance (Yet to come) and Atlanta and Chicago are worse than suns. Last year we lost to the suns, remember that.

The Suns are assholes!
Our team practically begged them to win this game ,yet they refused to do so time after time!

I will say it's more fun watching a game at Moda than with most of the negative assholes here.
Is there some kind of exception the the "don't attack the poster" rule? Are you allowed to attack many posters?

This how I look at it doesn't matter if other team best player went down with a injury and doesn't matter if we play a team is not very good. What matters we beat those teams when it happens and we have so far. Remember every other teams in this league get to play Phoenix at least 2 times a year and so it there job to take care of business if not it not our problem. So don't make excuses why we beat someone due to there weak or they had this player out. What matter is we took care of business and got the big W.

So as the Blazers sit right now they are on top of the NW division. OKC is 3-3 and have 2 losses to Minny and a loss to Utah. Both the losses to Minny were close games one away and one at home. Their wins are vs a very Bad Chicago team and Indiana and New York.
Can we please get the Negative view on OKC? Or are we gonna hear "It's still early" or "They still are working out the bugs" or " Minny is way better than the Clippers" or " Utah has a player that is really good"
Fact is the Blazers have won all the games they were supposed to win and were in a position to win every game against teams it is no shame to lose against. Now this game against the Raptors coming up is another tough game. No way it is a game they are supposed to win. It's a game they want to get a win at home for sure. But there is no way i put that one down as a game they are supposed to win.

Would you prefer having Okc's roster or our roster?

I agree. You need to take care of business against the teams you should beat.

This is actually a great question. Portland is set up with a good team, with two stars, a pretty damn good center, but a payroll, and roster that makes it hard to add a player to take the next step. OKC has a superstar long term, another star that could re-up, another fleeting star that will most likely bolt and a pretty damn good center. OKC seems to have the advantage because of cap flexibility.

Actually OKC is in real trouble if two of those guys bolt. Will they be able to keep Adams?
