A role player is irrelevant in regards to Dame.

I believe we'd would have Kanters bird rights after Dame resigns, so the $5M extra for Dance wouldnt affect the ability to resign Kanter.
Did you mean resign or re-sign? I'm hoping you meant re-sign.

I wouldn't mind showing them mercy and giving them Meyers. Too bad it's past the trade deadline.

I might be a little late for this game, fams. I've got an appointment this afternoon at 3, until 4. Thankfully, it's just a couple of miles from here, so I can cut it short and race home.
Why not get a DVR and copy these games?

I know its Cleveland and they’re bad, but they have a couple guys who I like. I think Osman, Nance and Nwaba are actually a pretty solid group of small/ power forwards. Just my opinion.

Some of you mothafuckas crack me up. So god damn bipolar. Basketball is a game of runs and I think some forget this. I’ll take a W no matter how ugly it is. They beat a shitty team by what, 13 on the road.
The Nets just beat the Spurs by 16 and Detroit beat the Pacers. The team has been on the road almost a week...... I’ll take this W and move on.
April 9th on the last night of the season when we are all scoreboard watching, this W will count just as much as the one over the Warriors. #Ripcity

Just a question, do you think Dame's ankle is still bothering him at all? Not sure if it's just me but he seems a bit less aggressive and it could be because other guys on the team are playing well he doesn't feel like he needs to be, I dunno.

And I thought the Cavs were gunning for the Zion Train. WTF were these guys trying to win?

Basketball is a game of runs.

Letting Cleveland make up 22 points in the course of 14 or so minutes is more than just a "normal run".

I watched that also. They have some players. Mixed with KLove they can play well. It's just a weird group right now. If they had a top flight PG that team would be pretty good. Not that Sexton is bad. Then if they add a center they will be in the mix again.

Can someone explain to me what happened to Dame's outside shot? Even open ones he's bricking. He's never been a Curry or even a CJ level shooter, but holy hell, dude needs to get in the gym and fix that shit. Some of those misses aren't even close.

How the fuck does the god Layman only get 16 minutes

In this particular game Harkless played better. And Jake was struggling at times with Osman. Jake was a -3 and Hark was a + 14. Jake got pulled in the 4th right after Osman scored....again. He did go back in when CJ got hurt but went back out when CJ returned. Every game is going to be different with this much depth.

Osman scored way more when Harkless was in the game than when Jake was. For a stretch in the 3rd, Osman treated Harkless like a wet paper bag. Not to say Jake was doing great but the majority of Osman's points came against Harkless.

I get that rotations are fluid but when Jake is active and the offense is flowing stop subbing him out! Honestly, Let the team that's on the court play. I don't care who's on the court, if the ball is moving and we are scoring, let them roll. Stotts subs too much sometimes.

Tough to bitch when we get a win...but I found a way!

Nowhere did I come close to suggesting the shots should come from those two. However, as per usual, there were multiple times that he would make a cut, be wide open, and his teammates aren't finding him. Did they forget that quickly that he is really good at that and is often open on his cuts to the basket? Especially when they were having trouble scoring in the 3rd and Harkless was getting torched by Osman.

Just seems like he is suddenly not getting similar looks he was getting just a couple of weeks ago.

He's averaging 6 FGA in 18.5min...about a FGA every 3 minutes. Same for Feb. when he's averaged a FGA every 3.06 minutes. So, last night (3.3) wasn't that far off his average usage

not only that, 84% of Jake's shots are assisted. He has been getting 2 or 3 lob passes a game. Turner has been good at that and so has Nurkic. Dame has found him for a lot of his back cut baskets and three's as well. Jake basically relies on those three guys to get him his opportunities and since Hood was added, it seems Jake spends less time on the floor with Dame and Nurkic. And CJ/Curry are no substitute for a PG or even somebody like Turner

Maybe Bazemore ?

I always thought of him more as a Harkless type player - I do not think he can really initiate and run the offense the way Turner does, but maybe I have not watched enough of him.

Good ball handler and solid passer. Not much worse that Turner in that regard, and better in every other area.

That’s what he does his whole career. It comes and goes then comes and goes again

Tunchi, give it a rest and stop trying to come back. This is like, what, your 6th account? Ridiculous.

And mods, why is Tunchi still here?

Not disagreeing that he is better in most other areas - but I do not think he was ever used to run the offense. To be fair - this could be a system / usage issue.

As a generic backup forward - sure, but as someone that runs the 2nd unit - that's where it could be an issue (the answer might actually be to get someone like him and use him a SG / SF and a real backup PG to run the 2nd unit) - so it is not exactly a direct replacement for ET. The issue the Blazers have is really that there is no real backup PG on the roster now, CJ, Curry are more of combo guards that are really there to create for themselves or shoot assisted shots and Simons is still a project.

I don't think either should be used to run the offense as much as Turner does.

Only Sly wields the hammer. I'll just go through and delete the posts that are personal attacks. That one is a valid criticism of a Blazer player, so there's no reason to make an issue of it.

That's what a RUN is. I don't believe anybody typed the term "normal". We won by 13 on the road. Step away from the ledge, on to the next one.
