:reading:OFFICIAL WIZARDS' GAME NOTES
:reading: OFFICIAL BLAZERS' GAME NOTES

• Tuesday marks the second and final regular season matchup between the Trail Blazers and Wizards in 2015-16.

• Portland defeated Washington, 108-98, at the Verizon Center on Jan. 18. In that game, CJ McCollum scored a game-high 25 points (9-16 FG) and shot 6-of-10 from beyond the arc.

• Since the start of the 2005-06 season, the Trail Blazers are 8-2 against the Wizards at home (won two straight).

• Portland hasn’t won consecutive games against Washington since winning three straight contests from 3/25/08 to 1/24/09.

• Mason Plumlee recorded 10 points (5-11 FG) and 11 rebounds (four offensive) against Washington on Jan. 18 for his second double-double in six career games against the Wizards.

• Meyers Leonard made four of his seven three-point attempts on 1/18 vs. Washington, and has shot 6-of-12 from three in his past three games against the Wizards.

HEAD-TO-HEAD HISTORY:
ALL TIME: Trail Blazers lead, 55-51
IN PORTLAND: Trail Blazers lead, 33-19
AT THE WIZARDS: Wizards lead, 32-22

If Beal is out, that bodes well for the Blazers. Their struggle is with backcourts that can compete with theirs, because most other teams have an advantage in the front court if the backcourts are anywhere close to even.

I really want this game. It would feel good to get back into the win column. I would love to see another streak start up.

Yeah we really struggled with Golden State, lol.

Yeah i think Wall is faster than Lillard but absolutely NOT better.
Personally i go with Leonard again tonight and i would play Vonleh against their seconds. Just the way i see it. Plumlee/Leonard vs Gortat/Morris. The problem with the Wiz is not their starters. It's Nene and Anderson. I wonder if we see Hickson in this game? He might be a good matchup against the Blazers.

Also Temple should be starting and he can play. CJ has to cover on this one.
Blazers Need to take care of business tonight. This is a game that is important in the big picture. Gotta play tough and protect home court with a couple days rest.

I see your point but Temple is actually a very good backup. He posses a size problem for CJ to cover. This also might open up a different look if they insert Hickson/Nene. We all know JJ has a motor and plays well against Portland.

Leonard/Plumlee can't defend well enough to start. Morris is too quick for either one. I'm glad Stotts basically ended the Meyers at PF experiment.

I hope we see Hickson because that means we'll have a clear path to the hoop and the Wizards will steal each others rebounds.

Leonard will be the only guy that can hold back Gortat.

Hold him back from what, his 13 point per game?

Cousins averages 27ppg, Drummond averages 15rpg, Plumlee has major issues defending them. Well the whole league has issues defending them. But with those matchups playing Meyers is a consideration.

But against Gortat? Plumlee will be fine.

Possibly. ..Or Gortat goes for 20+ and 15 rebs.

Despite the 3 game losing streak, we move into sole position of 6th seed wth a win tonight.

With this schedule, we have to stay afloat for the next couple of weeks, and this is a game that can help do that. The first game back from a road trip is always tough, but we need this one in the worst way.

I don't see why we need this game more than any other. A win would be nice but I'd rather have a win against Dallas where it could be a tiebreaker or Golden State where it'd end their historic streak.

A win is always good; this is just one of those random games in an 82 game season.

It'll be 4 losses in a row

Go Blazers! Take care of home and get back in the win column! 6 guys at least score in double digits! The bleeding stops tonight!

You mean the period is over

Can someone confirm that KGW has the game on tonight? Otherwise, I'll need to go fire up a Stream.

Here we go! Big win puts us in sole possession of 6th. We got this! Warmup fo Warriors game!
